Quick Banana Nut Bread

In Royal Oak, Michigan, a seafood restaurant serves cuisine using this recipe. The tuna with sesame crust is cooked medium-rare on the inside (nearly like sushi), and a delicious soy miso sauce is drizzled on top. One of my favorite seafood recipes ever!

Okay, now this is the first time that I am giving my review about a recipe. My husband and my family loved this recipe so much, that they requested that I make another loaf. When I added in the vanilla flavoring, I also used almond flavoring in equal amounts (because I am not a fan of nuts.. I waited a week for my bananas get to become overly ripe, and I placed them in the refrigerator until I was ready to use them. Once I was ready to make my bread, I removed them from the ‘frig, I let them sit at room temperature for at least 15 to 30 minutes. Then, I added crushed and diced pineapples. However, even though I used canned pineapples, I did not use the juice. I mixed in a cup of raisins, and prior to placing it in the oven (at 375 degrees), I just sprinkled a few raisins on the top. In order to satisfy my family, I doubled all of the ingredients, because they told our friends and relatives about how good the banana nut bread was. I plan to make quite a few, and give my banana nut bread as gifts for Christmas, and I will custom-make each loaf. If some of my loved ones want the nuts added (pecans, walnuts, etc.), I plan to bake my banana nut bread with the same ingredients I listed above, I will add the nuts upon request. I want to thank you for posting this recipe, I thank you, my family thanks you, my church family thanks you, and the additional loved ones that also want to thank you. I forgot to mention that used a little nutmeg, and cinnamon to my custom-made banana bread (nuts are optional). Try my suggestions and plan to create more and more loafs of banana nut bread from the requests of anyone who tries this recipe. I LOVE it!!!! I really like this recipe because I can play with the nuts, fruit, etc.

Made it but increased the bananas and nixed the pudding. used Greek yogurt instead of milk and added 1/3 cup Jiffy biscuit mix to compensate for moisture variance. Saw the comment about the bottom burning before the bread was done so placed parchment in the bottom of my pyrex bread pans. increased the temp to 360 and increased baking time to 50 minutes. When adjusting please note that my location is @275 feet above sea level, so you might have to adjust your baking time or temperature to end up with my results. Added 1 tablespoon brown sugar to recipe and then crumbled a mixture of brown sugar, graham crackers and a teaspoon of rum and cream cheese drizzle on top. To say this was wonderful is an understatement. When I do it again would remove from pan before drizzling with icing as the glaze helped this to stick to the side of the pan.

I wish I would have taken a pic because this was the absolute best banana nut bread I’ve ever had and I’m so glad after reading some of the reviews that I added an extra banana.

I’ve made this many times. Super easy and always good!

Delicious and easy. I added one additional banana and some toasted almonds as well as the pecans. I mixed the liquid items together before adding to the dry mixture.

Actually made 4 mini loaves and it turned out great!

I found this recipe and was SO excited that I had all the ingredients. I did add another bannana as others have mentioned, a little cinnamon and nutmeg. I just could not get the bread to cook thru to my liking. It is very moist mostly because of the pudding. I liked the idea of adding the pudding but will most likely try less of the pudding package next time.

I used spice cake mix and banana cream pudding mix. Otherwise followed the recipe. DELICIOUS!! I’m not really a great baker and this recipe is so easy and quick. It turned out wonderfully!

EXCELLENT…….turned out SUPER MOIST and I would make this again but as a cake, left in the pan frosted with cream cheese icing. I followed the recipe for the most part but: Subbed milk for the water Used coconut oil in place of veggie oil Added 1 extra banana for more flavor AND……because I love pineapple I added 1 small can of crushed, juice and all. (I know, I know……I didn’t follow the recipe to the letter) I have to say mine had a fantastic “tropical” flavor and WOW! CAN YOU SAY MOIST?! Anyway…..for me this is a total keeper but as a cake. (next time I am adding some coconut in too) P.S. I did not put nuts in. OH! 1 more THING! Someone asked how to NOT “burn” your bread!!! I ALWAYS, ALWAYS bake my banana bread in a countertop Nesco baker and I have NEVER burned a loaf of banana bread…….ever! It’s a better cooking method then an oven. GOOD LUCK!

Nope I made it for my hubby

Tasty bread. I made with gluten free cake mix and added homemade cream cheese icing to top it off. Very good!

I used walnuts as I had no pecans, and I put a thick swirl of nutella down the middle and then swirled in throughout the bread. This was a big hit!

I added an extra banana as some reviews suggested, and didn’t add nuts. I baked in cupcake liners 21-23 mins and they turned out perfectly! I think they are good but VERY sweet so don’t bother with glaze or icing.
