Pumpkin Spiced Latte

  4.2 – 214 reviews

Pumpkin Spice Lattes from Starbucks are my husband’s absolute favorite! I came up with this recipe to prevent us from going bankrupt. These have been created many times for each visitor. Within our incredibly large family, I believe I’ve even become a household name for these. You don’t need an espresso machine.

Prep Time: 15 mins
Cook Time: 3 mins
Total Time: 18 mins
Servings: 3
Yield: 3 servings

Ingredients

  1. 3 cups hot whole milk
  2. 4 teaspoons white sugar
  3. ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  4. ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  5. 6 ounces double-strength brewed coffee
  6. 3 tablespoons sweetened whipped cream
  7. 3 pinches pumpkin pie spice

Instructions

  1. Combine the hot milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice in a blender; blend until frothy. Pour the mixture into 3 coffee mugs to about 2/3 full. Pour 2 ounces coffee into each mug. Garnish each mug with whipped topping and pumpkin pie spice.

I absolutely love pumpkin spice and since Starbucks is so expensive I just keep making this and it tastes pretty similar to the drink at Starbucks

I added a little sweetened condensed milk and I want to make this all the time now. Perfect fall treat!??

It was very easy to make. And soooo good.

Followered the recipe and it just tasted like steamed milk.

So delicious! Better than Starbucks!!

Maybe a touch too sweet but overall nice flavor. Will the pumpkin pie spice ever dissolve? If it’s in boiling hot coffee maybe?

I did not heat up the milk, just mixed cold with sugar and pumpkin pie spice. Added to coffee and poured over ice.

Definitely need to blender to whip it up, otherwise it’s a thin drink. I made it the first time as the receipt stated, second time I doubled the sugar, but I guess that’s up to taste. I enjoyed it 🙂

I made it today and it tasted almost exactly like the ones from McDonald’s.

Great recipe.

This recipe is amazing! For one or two servings I do 1 and 1/2 of a cup of milk. Instead of a blender I used a whisk and a large bowl. But any way you make it, I’m sure you will love it!

The recipe as written is okay. I had to add more coffee and more spices to flavour as I wanted it though. I don’t have a blender but I have a french press which I used to mix the milk mixture and froth it. Looked pretty, just needed adjusting for better flavour.

This is it! Best alternative I’ve found to spending $4.50 on a PSL. I used regular coffee with hot half and half but otherwise the same ratios. The vanilla is what made it for me.

I added 2 tablespoons of sugar per cup and it tastes like the Pumpkin Spice Latte at 7 Eleven.

I didn’t have pumpkin pie spice, so I totally diy’ed this! I took some butternut squash and mashed it up and added cinnamon and ginger (didn’t have nutmeg or cloves either!) I put it in with the coffee and then strained the whole thing. Since I’m lactose intolerant, I added some almond milk and agave syrup. It was awesome!!!

I’ve made several different pumpkin spice coffees lately, and I didn’t care for this one. It has too much milk, not enough sugar and not enough pumpkin pie spice. (For 1 serving, I like the ratio of 1/2 c milk to 1/2 c coffee. Add sugar until it’s sweet enough. And use 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice per serving.) I liked putting it in the blender–I have a single serve Ninja. It was nice and frothy and didn’t take as long as whisking it on the stovetop. I would give this only 2 stars, but for the blender idea, I’ve upped it to 3 stars.

Tasteless and not sweet. I won’t be making it again.

Simple and delish.

I didn’t use the blender, just added ingredients to milk, microwaved til hot, and stirred well into hot coffee. It’s delicious and easy and I will definitely make again (I live 2 hours away from the nearest Starbucks, so this really hits the spot! Thank you!)
