Easy Bagel-Egg Sandwich

This is my daughter’s preferred breakfast (and occasionally, lunch or dinner). It can be produced in 5 minutes and is a hit every time.

Ingredients

  1. 1 large egg
  2. 1 bagel, split
  3. 2 tablespoons ketchup, or to taste
  4. ⅛ teaspoon chile-lime seasoning (such as Tajin®), or more to taste
  5. salt and ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Crack egg into a small, nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook until outer edges become opaque, about 1 minute. Cover, reduce heat to low, and cook until whites are completely set, about 4 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, toast bagel.
  3. Spread ketchup on both sides of the toasted bagel. Add fried egg to the lower half, season with chile-lime seasoning, salt, and pepper, and add top half.
