These nuggets have the texture of real chicken thanks to the extra-firm tofu and breading, and the delicious sauce is simply a bonus.

This is pretty much the way I’ve made french toast all my life with the exception of not using challah bread. Challah’s texture certainly is lighter, but it’s also something that I need to buy at a bakery or one of the big box stores like Costco which is a bit discouraging. It was good, and we enjoyed it.
This challah French toast recipe was delightful! I baked mine in the oven for 10 minutes after pan frying each slice — just so they puffed up a little more! This reminded me of when my mom would make us French toast!
Delicious! A nice snow day breakfast! I didn’t change a thing, but next time I’d make more of the soaking mixture as I only got 5 pieces out of it. This was pleasantly sweet and very easy to make. I’d definitely make this again!
