Yield: | 6 crepes |
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
- In a medium-size mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, milk, egg and salt.
- Heat a large frying pan or wok over medium high heat. When the pan is hot add a teaspoon of butter and lightly coat the surface of the pan with the melted butter.
- Pour one quarter cup of the batter into the pan and tilt the pan with a circular motion so that the batter coats the surface in a smooth and even layer.
- After two minutes, lift up an edge of the crepe with a spatula to see if it is browning. When the underside has begun to brown, flip the crepe and cook the other side until it is also brown; about 2 minutes.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 to cook the remaining crepes. Serve hot.

I used this recipe to make my first ever crepe. It is very simple which makes it easily modifiable. Though I did not make changes to the recipe, the results still varied because of variables like cooking duration and the amount of heat.
This recipe was amazing! will totally use again, recommended for everybody! (unless your gluten free like me)
I use a bit different recipe I have made them for about 45 years and use oil in the batter instead butter in the pan. 1/4 cup I use them for canaloi
yummy! Last time I ate these was when my mom made them about 60 years ago. Yeah, a long time. They are so easy & tasty. Doubled the recipe to get enuf to share with hubby. Made a few with scrambled eggs, crumbeled bacon & cheese filling. He never had crepes before & now he’s hooked.
I would like to try them they look real good. To make that the one I wsnt
OMG this tastes so good! Pls do it! I love it! I added extra milk, like one fourth cup. Love it!
I made these dairy free and grain free by using cassava flour and almond milk. Turned out great!
I added about 1/4 cup of water to thin it slightly. It was perfect for my husband and me.
I used a bit more milk to make them a little runnier and used low heat. Tasted great and went well with cream cheese and mango
More milk to make thinnerAdd vanilla and maybe some sugar
I’ve never had crepes before but I really enjoyed this recipe. Two things that makes this recipe better is adding a teaspoon of vanilla extract and adding a topping/filling. Otherwise this is really easy and good!
Súper simple recipe and oh so good!! We put Nutella on ours . Yum!
I added cinnamon and a little sugar to the batter and an additional 1/4 C of milk to make them thinner.
Worst crepe recipe and I’ve used them all here. These are pancakes not crepes way to thick and not enough egg. No way to make thin crepes with these.
Absolutely perfect crepes!!! Didn’t change a thing! Love them with just a bit of butter, cinnamon sugar and rolled up! I would suggest YouTubing how to flip a crepe however, because these are much tricker than a pancake to flip!!!! Enjoy!!
soo good
I used gluten free 1 to 1 for this recipe and it turned out great! I’m looking forward to making it again!
I added milk to thin is out more and added a tsp of vanilla for flavor. I made Nutella crepes and everyone loved them!! Next time I’ll add bananas!!
followed directions exactly, comes out like rubber don’t know what it is but a crepe, nope.
I made mine a bit to thick, but over all everything as in the recipe, and the taste was probably the best breakfast ever!I would REALLY recommend this recipe!
