I used Sam Adams 1st time – excellent choice. Bread tested done after approximately 40-42 minutes so I took loaf out of oven. Bread was a little sticky to touch when sliced so I thought I would add 5 minutes to next loaf. The 1st loaf was excellent lightly toasted & buttered! 2nd loaf was made with Fat Tire – another good choice. I baked it the 5 extra minutes but didn’t like the result. Bread is too dry. Bread is very tasty. Recipe is definitely a keeper!

I’ve made beer bread using this recipe at least a dozen times. I love the simplicity and consistency-always tastes good, rises well, browns nicely with the butter on top. I rarely buy self-rising flour so I add the appropriate amount of salt and baking powder. I half the sugar unless I want a sweeter loaf. I have best results with cheap beer.

I used a cup of sugar, buttered the top with butter at the last ten minutes, cooked in a convection oven for 1 1/2 hours also added three tablespoons of jalapeño peppers

goes great with brats and cabbage. I use about half the sugar, and use slices of the butter down the top middle.

Easy & Delicious! I made it exactly as written using my husband’s dark stout for the beer. He’s a craft home brewer, so we almost always have a couple varieties of beer on hand. It was so yummy–had a rich, subtle caramel flavor and the smell while it was baking was awesome!

I’ve made this for many years. My one complaint is the ridiculous amount of sugar. An almost identical recipe calls for 3 T which is plenty.

So east and always delicious! Its best with Guinness and melted Irish Butter!

When I make my beer chili I always have one half of a 24 ounce can of beer left over. My husband and I don’t drink beer so I would just pour the remainder down the drain. Then I found this bread recipe! This is exactly like it says, simple and tasty! So easy to make and goes well with my beer chili. Be sure and pour melted butter over the top of the bread after baking.

Dumped beer into bowl of flour and sugar. Room temp beer works best.

Delicious and easy bread! I made one loaf exactly as recipe is written using Corona beer and it was amazing. A wonderful sweet bread. I made a second loaf using a dark Scottish Ale, added 2tsp of Italian seasoning and 1tsp dried basil. So good and flavorful!! Will definitely be making this again. Thanks for the recipe!

We thought the 1/2 cup sugar was excessive, but it was delicious. I made a second loaf with only 2 tbsp sugar and it was perfect.

This is so tasty and easy!!

It worked in a pinch, when we could not get yeast. Was happy to have it. It is better the second day, cause the beer taste goes away.

Easy and delicious and perfect for the 2020 CORVID-19 outbreak since everyone panic-purchased important goods. 10/10 from me! Thanks!

Didn’t like the beer smell or taste, but maybe I’ll try it with yeast and water next time. It did look nice and was easy to make.

I made this exactly like the recipe called using Regular Budweiser beer. I dont drink so I needed to only buy 1 can. I also made homemade beer cheese so the tall can of beer was perfect. Any who, I made it for Super Bowl Sunday and everyone LOVED it. So easy to make. I have purchased Tastefully Simple Beer Bread a few times and can honestly say I will never again. So much cheaper doing it this way and tasted the exact same!

Loved this simple and delicious beer bread recipe. We made 4 loaves using different flavors of beers we had hanging out in the refrigerator (peanut butter beer, Shiners Holiday beer, Milwaukees Best Light, and a Corona). Each loaf had their own unique flavor and color. We sliced them up and served with our Christmas dinner and it was a hit. We also made some smaller loaves and gave to our neighbors for Christmas. This recipe is a keeper for our family!
