My family loves this bread. It comes out perfect every time.
I’ve made four loaves based on four different recipes in my new bread machine – actually, three doorstops and one wonderful loaf of bread. Ron’s Bread Machine recipe WORKED so much better than any of the others. The secret seems to be that powered milk? I don’t know – but it was awesome!
Very good. Please don’t change it . So good.
This recipe convinced me to keep my bread maker — excellent bread!! Toasted nicely on day 2. I am baking at an altitude of 2200 feet so not all recipes work out here, but this made a soft, fluffy medium-sized loaf.
My go to recipe. I have made at least 15 loaves of this recipe. I love the powdered milk because I don’t keep fresh milk on hand. Also the one cup of bread foour keeps the cost down and gives a nice texture compared to all bread flour.
We have made this several times. It is my hubby’s favorite. The bread is light and tastes great.
I was glad to find this recpie! Pulled out my bread machine in quarentine. I made one loaf according to manufacture recipe. Not happy with the dense loaf. Tried this, it’s the keeper. I did the one Tablespoon sugar and added half tablespoon of honey. My powder milk was expired so I cut my water to 2/3 and added 1/4 cup heavy cream. This will be my go to loaf.
This recipe is not only simple and quick to put together, it produced a perfect and delicious loaf! There’s no reason to buy bread with recipes like this!
Made it per the recipe without any changes. Used the 2lb light crust setting as the recipe didn’t say. Turned out pretty good, very crumbly though, as it common with many of the homemade breadmaker recipes I’ve tried. Nothing spectacular but worth making again if I need a recipe with these particular ingredients.
Made it yesterday, and it’s just as good or better today! Served warm with pasta last night, and it made a terrific sandwich today. Moist and soft inside, good texture on crust. I used 1 cup milk/water combination as other reviewers suggested because I don’t have dry milk on hand. Substituted olive oil and added spoonful of honey. I used light crust setting on my machine.
I have made it as listed but I basically use it as a base for experiment ing
I followed this and the bread didn’t rise and just baked in crumbs. Oh well.
Delicious and soft! I added 1 tsp apple cider vinegar, used 2/3c water and 1/4c almond milk, used 1 Tbsp honey instead of the sugar, and 2tsp instant yeast.
This is my go-to recipe. I haven’t bought a boxed mix since I made this the first time. It is LOVED by my family as well.
I didn’t have milk powder so I substituted 40ml of the water for milk, I added too much salt by mistake but it was still great. Crunchy golden crust and soft crumb. Saving this recipe.
Best bread machine bread recipe yet. Loved it.
I have been using this recipe for years. Plain bread: exactly how the recipe is or add one extra tablespoon of sugar.
Took suggestion to cut water to 3/4 cup and 1/4 cup milk and increase sugar to 1/3 cup. Bread had brioche texture, very delicious.
Really great flavor. I made the dough in the bread machine but baked it in the oven. It turned out great! This recipe is a keeper!
Didn’t have milk powder as I don’t usually keep it; but 3/4 c water 1/4c milk. Quite tasty bread! I’ll keep this recipe
I made this bread tonight to go with sausage gravy. My husband loved the bread the flavor was not over powered by the gravy but held its own. I followed the recipe not changing the ingredients at all. I did hear my egg, water, and oil together in microwave for a short time to get them warm. I would say that this bread is a very big hit with my husband and I will fix it gain.
