Quick and Easy Pretzel Bites with Nutella® Dipping Sauce

With a hint of crunch from the Panko breadcrumbs, this dish of chicken and asparagus is quite aromatic and almost hollandaise-inspired. The presentation is basic but lovely, and it comes together quickly. ideal when paired with artichokes!

Ingredients

  1. 1 (10 ounce) can refrigerated pizza crust
  2. ⅓ cup baking soda
  3. 2 teaspoons Himalayan pink salt, or to taste
  4. ½ (8 ounce) package Neufchatel cheese, softened
  5. ¾ cup chocolate-hazelnut spread (such as Nutella®)
  6. 2 tablespoons milk, or more to taste
  7. ⅓ cup yellow mustard
  8. 3 teaspoons honey, or more to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  2. Unroll pizza crust and cut into 2-inch squares. Roll each square into a ball and place on a cookie sheet.
  3. Bring 3 quarts of water to a boil. Stir in baking soda until dissolved. Add pizza balls to the boiling water in batches. Cook until puffed up and floating, 1 to 2 minutes. Transfer to a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle salt on top.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes.
  5. Mix Neufchatel cheese, chocolate-hazelnut spread, and milk together to make chocolate dipping sauce. Add more milk for a thinner dip. Mix mustard and honey together in a separate bowl. Serve warm pretzel bites with dipping sauces.
  6. The dough can sit out for up to an hour before boiling.
  7. Use any flaky salt you want to.

sorry I don’t have a picture because as soon as they came out the oven we ate them all up. I did baste them with melted butter while they were hot and added sea salt and granulated garlic to some. Absolutely delicious….. I use Pizza dough from the pizza shop but next time I will use Pillsbury crust..
