This is a very easy and yummy recipe. I followed the recipe except the batter looked a bit thick so I added just a tiny bit of the juice I drained off the peaches. It was perfect. It made two loaves, which I kept one and took the second loaf to work. My beloved coworkers loved it. I’ll definitely make this again!
Such a nice quick bread and easy to make. ! Reduced the sugar by 1/2 c. and used 2 1/2t. cinnamon, per personal preference . Used diced fresh peaches. Next time I might just use 2 t. cinnamon. I baked half in a loaf pan to give to a friend and the rest in a muffin tin. They were moist on the inside and just the slightest bit crispy on top. Will definitely make again.
Perfect! Because I’m at a higher altitude, I cut back on sugar, added a tad more flour. Used homegrown peaches and did use the nuts.
This recipe is fool proof. Thank you. I made it with Apple Pie Spice and used my canned Spiced Peaches that I canned in the summer. All other ingredients are the same and I just guessed at the right amount of peaches. One batch will also make 8 Mini Loaf pans at 35 minutes. My Christmas “Cookie” Exchange was a hit! Thanks again.
Delicious but it got stuck to the pan even though I greased and floured it.
I have made this recipe using canned peaches, and also made it substituting fresh strawberries rather than the peaches. Neither lasted very long they were so good!
I call this peach pound cake it was so moist and delicious! Several tweaks… cut recipe in half to fit in 1 loaf pan… 6 fresh peaches diced up… replaced vanilla extract with (1 teaspoon) almond extract… replaced white sugar with brown sugar… used EVOO… increased chopped walnuts to 1/2 cup. Thank you for this delicious cinnamony scrumptious “pound cake”
I also used fresh peaches and it was wonderful!
It tastes delicious. I added 1/2 banana and 1/2 cup of shredded zucchini and then used 3 teaspoons of salted Carmel syrup. Followed the rest of the recipe and baked according to direction. Used a Bundt pan instead. Topped it off with sugar and salted Carmel syrup mixed together for a glaze.
I followed the recipe, using fresh peaches instead of canned, and it was delicious!
I used fresh peaches and I will make it again
I used fresh peaches and I will make it again
I made half the recipe, one loaf. I was told it was terrific, so will make again. I put peaches through a mini chopper for just few pulses to distribute fruit better and it did the trick. Thank you!
This turned out fantastic! I did use fresh peaches but otherwise I followed the recipe exactly and it great. The flavor is outstanding and the bread is very moist. I was concerned that it might be dry based on other reviews and because the batter was so stiff. No worries! I’ll keep this recipe on hand for future fruit breads.
This was blah. No real flavor. Followed the recipe. A real disappointment.
So glad you shared this! Never had peach bread but with your recipe, I’m hooked! Love it!!!
Just liquidize the peaches for a perfect moist bread.
Fantastic!
My husband loved it and so did I. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I had all the wet ingredients mixed and started the dry ones when I realized I didn’t have enough flour so I used half white and half wheat.. it turned out very well anyway. I also used pecans instead of walnuts and fresh peaches.
I use fresh peaches, about 6 large ones, cooked down with a bit of sugar and a tsp of orange extract. VERY moist, huge hit with everyone that tried it.
I was not a fan of this bread, not enough peaches, I added an extra one did not help.
