So simple! I used the recipe for 5 and it made 6. I added a little rosemary and Parmesan to the top of a few and jammed a pad of butter in the middle of each when they were done. Pretty good!

so simple and creamy as if there’s butter in them 😛 I added rosemary and cheddar this round, definitely making again!

So easy to make. Makes exactly 5 as recipe states. Light and flakey, very biscuit like. The didn’t brown very much while baking but were done.
Sandy Spencer
They were so good

Amazing! So fast and easy! I added cheddar cheese and Italian spices. Kids love them! Going in my favorites.

These are dense, heavy rolls that are quick and easy to prepare using basic ingredients. I used the self-rising flour recipe on this site since I don’t keep that type of flour on hand. A similar recipe in a book I had recommended adding 2 T. sugar, but I added only 1.

Great substitute for biscuits but not dinner rolls, at least the kind of dinner rolls I’m used to. Still great tasting and will use it again, but next time when I need biscuits.

Made these rolls once, and we enjoyed them. Made them a second time and added shredded cheddar cheese. These were better.

It’s was easy and fast but I must have done something wrong. It’s an ok Baking powder biscuit. It took longer than 15 minutes to bake. After 20 minutes it was dense in the middle. Didn’t puff up. I will make it again and hope for better results

Holy save the day, Batman! Easter, and I had not gotten rolls. Low on time and ingredients, these answered my prayers. I added some rosemary and garlic powder and doubled the recipe. They were devoured!

I used whole wheat flour (was not self-rising, so I added 1 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp garlic salt), just added a little dash of thyme. It came out great! Very moist on the inside. Definitely will make again!

When someone says “dinner roll” it implies a roll that is light and fluffy with a “bread” type texture. These are biscuits. hard on the outside and a crumbly texture. Unfortunately, I didn’t even think they were a good tea biscuit. bottom line… if you want a dinner roll, you will need to use a recipe with yeast. If you want a tea biscuit, there are much better recipes out there. I was really disappointed with this one but serves me right because “good” can’t be rushed….

Very yummy! I didn’t have self raising flour so I added 1 teaspoon of baking powder like another reviewer said. I also added some grated Parmesan cheese to the dough. Turned out really good.

Boy are these super easy and forgiving! I only had all purpose flour and baking soda, so I added some vinegar to the soda, sprinkled in some dry yeast for good measure, and hoped for the best. They puffed up and browned beautifully! And my husband liked them a lot considering he doesn’t like mayo. Five minutes before they were done, I sprayed them with olive oil and topped with rosemary, garlic powder, and some salt and put them back in to brown. These will be my emergency go to rolls, for sure.

These turned out exactly like the Bisquick biscuits that I usually make! I followed another reviewer’s suggestion for a substitute for self-rising flour (as I don’t usually buy it), but other than that, I followed the “base” recipe as is. I also added some shredded Cheddar, garlic powder and parsley flakes to the mix before adding the wet ingredients. Then, halfway through baking, I brushed some melted butter over the tops and sprinkled on a bit of Parmesan. Delicious! And surprisingly MOIST! I may have to stop buying Bisquick from now on! Thanks for the recipe!

I doubled the recipe and added a little less than 1/4cup white sugar. Made them in a small muffin pan and loved the outcome!

It’s very rare that I repeat a recipe I’ve found on here twice in one month, but I fell in love with this! These are all ingredients I always have on hand, which makes this my new go-to roll recipe. I did the all purpose flower with the 1 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp salt substitution, then I thew in a bit of shredded cheddar cheese and rosemary, and OMG… it’s soooooo good!!! My husband also can’t get enough of these. It’s almost like a super easy knock off cheddar bay biscuit.

Very impressive! These are very close to Bisquick drop biscuits & easier! I did not have self-rising flour so used the recommendation of salt & baking powder, though I will use less salt next time. I also added some fresh rosemary, but will make them plain next time so my young men can eat them with butter & jelly for breakfast! Very good, fast & easy!

I made these 2 times and I have to say I didn’t care for them at all.

Did not brown, tasted like dough.
