Instructions

  1. Slice a loaf of Italian bread, stopping short of the bottom so the loaf stays intact. Melt 4 tablespoons butter with 1 tablespoon olive oil; add 2 to 3 minced garlic cloves and 1/2 teaspoon salt and cook, stirring, 2 minutes. Stir in 2 tablespoons chopped parsley. Spread the garlic mixture between the bread slices; wrap in foil and bake at 375 degrees F, 15 minutes. Unwrap and bake until crisp, 5 more minutes.

WOW!!! Try this garlic bread!!! Its easy and I’ve made it several tines with everyone begging for the recipe. I use a day old French bread and when I open the foil i actually make it golden brown on top which is extra crispy and soft and buttery on the inside. I also cook a bit longer on the stove. Yummy!

Very simple and delicious- everyone agreed! And I have some picky eaters in my family! I sprinkled some parmesan cheese on the top for the very last minute of baking, and it was a nice addition!

I love garlic bread and have tried many different recipes. Something about this one is just dead on. Simple and so irresistible you just keep sneaking pieces. Love it!

Awesome…I just prepared garlic bread..going for potluck at our friends place… I wanted to write the review after everyone’s reaction but I don’t care.. It has turned out to be a classic garlic bread.. and as my husband says it – “best I have ever had in my life” Made my day!!
Although I did not have foil – so just kept in the baking tray and still turned out to be great.
