In Britain, these beans are consumed every day. They are frequently eaten over a slice of toast, but they can also be a substantial component of a typical British breakfast.

Ingredients
- baking spray
- 3 cups baking mix
- 3 tablespoons white sugar
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 ½ teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
- 1 (12 fluid ounce) bottle pumpkin ale
- 2 tablespoons pepitas (shelled green pumpkin seeds)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with baking spray.
- Stir baking mix, white sugar, brown sugar, and pumpkin pie spice together in a bowl. Add beer and stir until smooth. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle the top with pepitas.
- Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 50 minutes. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
- I use Bisquick(R) or a homemade baking mix. For the ale, I like Blue Moon(R) Harvest Pumpkin Wheat.
