Ingredients
- ¼ cup water
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 3 ⅓ cups bread flour
- ¼ cup sucralose and brown sugar blend (such as Splenda® brown sugar blend)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon cocoa powder (such as Hershey’s®)
- 1 ½ teaspoons active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons margarine, softened
- ½ cup peanut butter chips (such as Reese’s®)
- ¼ cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Place water, milk, egg, vanilla extract, bread flour, sucralose and brown sugar blend, salt, cinnamon, cocoa powder, yeast, and margarine respectively in the pan of a bread machine. Select a 1 1/2-pound loaf cycle with a light crust and press Start. Add peanut butter chips and semisweet chips when the final knead cycle begins. Cool bread for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing.
- If your bread machine does not have ingredient order recommendations, add the wet ingredients first, then salt, followed by the dry ingredients, with the yeast being the last (on top).
- Check the consistency of the dough; if it is too wet, add a little more flour until it becomes soft and pliable, but not a hard dry ball. Add the chips in a little sooner if you want the chocolate to spread throughout the bread.
- You can use an egg substitute (such as Egg Beaters(R)) in place of the egg.

Thia bread was pretty tasty. Very moist and mushy in the middle. Not dry or crumbly. I even added some whole wheat flour by accident and it still tasted good. My only other change was to replace pb chips with butterscotch chip. It was tasty but I think next time I want to try all just choc chips and see how that comes out. Definitely a keeper.
Delicious! Makes a beautiful bread. We made 1/2 recipe for our 1 lb Welbilt bread machine. Not too sweet, great for kids.
This is the most awesome bread you could use to make cinnamon sticks! Just slice it & butter it & put cinnamon sugar on it. I didn’t add the chocolate chips & I doubled the brown sugar because you use 1/2 as much Splenda as sugar & changed it to a tablespoon of cinnamon.
This bread was fantastic. I ate it with Nutella smeared on it and it was divine. Thank you for submitting this one.
