Cheddar Bay Biscuits

  4.6 – 0 reviews  • Biscuits

These Cheddar Bay biscuits are similar to those served at a well-known seafood restaurant chain because they are cheesy, creamy, and flavorful.

Prep Time: 15 mins
Cook Time: 10 mins
Total Time: 25 mins
Servings: 20
Yield: 20 biscuits

Ingredients

  1. 4 cups baking mix (such as Bisquick or Jiffy)

  6. ¼ teaspoon salt
  7. ⅛ teaspoon onion powder
  8. ⅛ teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine baking mix, water, and cheese in a large bowl; mix until dough comes together. Use a small scoop to portion dough onto the prepared pan.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes.
  4. While biscuits are baking, combine melted butter, garlic powder, salt, onion powder, and parsley in a small bowl. Brush over hot biscuits.

Made just as recipe instructed. They were fabulous. Buttery, cheesy and delicious.

Bisquick is like brown sugar. A packed cup and a lightly packed cup will make the difference between light and dry. I went lightly packed and added Old Bay. Crumbly but delicious

Delicious! I followed others suggestions.: I doubled the cheese (I shredded the cheese myself – didn’t buy already shredded). I mixed the garlic powder, salt , onion powder & parsley into the batter. I put the biscuits back in the oven for a couple of minute after brushing them with butter

I liked them alot but a bit putzy to do the mix AND the garlic biscuits but they were good – it was my choice to do both the same day and also didn’t have dried milk (expensive) so I did the milk instead of water to the recipe – turned out good and buttery.

So easy and so wonderful! These are a must when we serve crab legs! Thanks!

I followed the recipe exactly as per the video (which added the extra spices into the dough) and it was pretty tasteless. It made 21 biscuits, so I think next time I would add 1cup of cheese. Even the video, the dough looks like it has more cheese than 3oz. I’ve never been to the Red Lobster, so I don’t have anything to compare it with.

They came out perfect and tasted better than the restaurant ones. Thank you all recipes.

Delicious! Didn’t bake in my oven, I tried them in my Air Fryer. Kept everything the same except used fresh parsley, chopped.

Yummy! Cheaper than box mix!

I followed all the tweaks in some of the comments and the recipe just did not turn out. Will try again though

Not very flavorful; cooking time and temp weren’t enough

These turned out really good. However, I am going to take others suggestions and add some Old Bay next time.

Not make favourite. I don’t know what is in baking mix so I added flour and baking powder. The rose and tasted ok but very dense

Made tonight but only made 6 which is another reason I love this sight it allows for changing portions. They were great. I think I needed to cook mine longer, 12 minutes and they weren’t brown but they were yummy.

This is perfect, followed exactly.

I cut the recipe in half.

Very good. Will make again.

The flavor was good, but they were pretty flat. Will add a bit of baking soda next time.
