These golden-brown, buttery, flaky biscuits prepared in an air fryer just require 6 ingredients. Much quicker and tastier than baking biscuits from a can!

Yield: | 8 biscuits |
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon white sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons butter
- ¾ cup buttermilk
Instructions
- Preheat an air fryer to 390 degrees F (195 degrees C).
- Sift flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt into a bowl. Cut butter into flour mixture, using a pastry cutter. Add buttermilk until just combined.
- Flour a work surface and, using your hands, bring dough together and fold 5 to 6 times, ending with a 1-inch thick rectangle.
- Cut biscuits with a 2 1/2-inch biscuit cutter. Bring leftover dough together to be able to cut more biscuits.
- Place biscuits into the air fryer basket and air-fry until golden brown, 8 to 10 minutes.
- I brush the tops of the biscuits with melted butter as soon as they come out of the air fryer.

Didn’t make any changes except I added another tsp of sugar. This was easy, and delicious, flakey soft texture. I book marked this recipe.
Delicious biscuits. The only change I made was to use a tablespoon of sugar instead of a teaspoon. Brushing them with melted butter right after cooking is definitely a plus. I had some melted butter left over, so I mixed honey in it and used that instead of jam. So good. I cooked them in my Cosori air fryer for ten minutes and they were perfect.
I just made these because I woke up wanting biscuits. When I tell you easy and DELICIOUS, this is a great recipe. I used vegan butter and veganized buttermilk. So good with my coffee. Thank you❤️
I sent the recipe to my brother-in-law, who loves his new air fryer. He said they were great and super easy to make. They look delicious, too!
Move over BakerBetti, these are the best biscuits ever. I choose the bigger biscuit cutter 2 3/4 instead 2 1/4 and they were so big and flakey. I made the suggested buttermilk substitute, 3/4 milk to teaspoons of vinegar because I never have buttermilk on hand. Air fried for eight minutes, could eat the whole batch made 7 total.
A very easy recipe, to make delicious biscuits. Great tip to brush with butter as soon a they come out. Yummy!
I have never been a very good biscuit maker, but now I am! These were delicious, light, fluffy and perfect. 10/10.
So easy and soooo yummy!! Definitely brush with melted butter when they come out. I just cut into squares to limit the handling.
I would increase the salt to 3/4 or even 1 full tsp. Super easy to make. Took 14 minutes to bake, this due to maybe me making them a bit thicker than 1″. You could as well add some grated cheddar to make a cheese biscuit.
Very good. Would be great for sausage gravy!
Super easy and delicious! My time saving shortcuts: Semi-freeze the butter and use a box grater. Also, traditional biscuits are round, but they taste just as good cut into squares. No reworking the dough necessary. I’m now a biscuit maker!!
Not as good as Pillsbury grands but not bad. The flavor might have been better if using real buttermilk, I had to substitute. The airfry did a great job though.
Delish! Easy to make. My airfryer could only accommodate 7 biscuits pressed against each other. The tops were nicely toasted brown, the bottoms didn’t look cooked BUT they were. They were fully cooked. I baked the last one alone for 10 mins and it was done all around, looked maybe a wee bit overdone. Overall 5 star biscuits!!
OMG!!! I thought what the heck, let me try this. All I can say is WOW!!! They came out outstanding, the best biscuits I have ever made!!! Didn’t have buttermilk so I use 1/2 n 1/2 and lemon juice. Worked wonders.
Recipe looks good and simple, I used Almond Flour and Kefir. That was my mistake, bitter due to the almonds, not fully baked as the dough was too runny. Still satisfied my urge.
Recipe worked well in the air fryer. To the person inquiring about substitutes for buttermilk: just make your own by adding 2 tsp of vinegar or lemon juice to the 3/4 cup of milk and let it sit for 5 minutes.
Didn’t have buttermilk so I had to make my own. Still say they came out great.
First time making air fried buttermilk biscuits…they were so easy and I made them in 6 minutes!
I sprinkled in some dried chives and used salted butter. Delicious . Did not cook as long as recipe and they were yummy
