When it’s chilly outside, there’s nothing better than a warm, boozy beverage to warm you from head to toe. This hot toddy combines hot tea — my favorite — and warm spices, plus bourbon and lemon. Bonus: It also makes your home smell wonderful!

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup honey
- 3 pods cardamom
- 3 sticks cinnamon, plus more for garnish
- 2 Lady Grey tea bags
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups bourbon
- Lemon wheels, for garnish
Instructions
- Bring the honey, cardamom pods, cinnamon sticks and 4 cups water to a boil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the tea bags and remove from the heat. Let stand for 5 minutes to allow the tea to steep.
- Pour the mixture through a fine wire-mesh strainer over a liquid measuring cup. Stir in the bourbon. Divide the mixture evenly among serving mugs and garnish with lemon wheels and cinnamon sticks.

Reviews
Kardea’s hot toddy but I used Amaretto since I’m not a fan of whiskey and her recipe is awesome and simple.
