Ingredients

  1. 2 cups blueberries
  2. 2 cups sugar
  3. 2 teaspoons lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Add the blueberries, sugar, lemon juice and 1 cup water to a saucepan. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes. Strain into a mason jar. Let cool completely. Will keep in the fridge for about 2 weeks.

Is the amount of sugar a typo? The blueberry syrup recipe I make calls for 2 cups blueberries, 2 Tablespoons water, 2 Tablespoons sugar, 1/4 tsp lemon juice, 1/4 tsp lemon grated lemon rind. Two cups of sugar seems like way too much!
