This quick dish incorporates a lot of fresh vegetables, along with those that are frozen or canned to make it easier. For meat eaters, you may also add ground turkey breast. Serve with Mexican chips or shredded cheddar cheese over wild rice.

This was very good and easy. I will be making this again. The only changes I made are I used sliced tri tip steaks because this is what I had. Followed all other instructions and ingredients except I did not add the salt…it is plenty salty with just the soy sauce. And I did not add peppers because I dont like them. Served this with mashed potatoes. Hubby loved it and said it reminded him of his moms pot roast. A better picture of this should be uploaded because the one here does not do it justice
Did not add any salt, used low sodium soy sauce, one cup of beef broth in place of water. I added the peppers in the beginning, should have waited until the last hour of cooking (as per recipe). Served with brown rice in a bowl. The steak was so tender, we used a spoon. Yum.
This recipe is amazing! I left out the cornstarch bit because my husband does not like thick sauces and added one chopped jalapeno for a small kick and it was the perfect balance.
yes and it was fantastic. tweaked the ingredients and my family loved it
That was REALLY good. Now we were looking for a way to get rid of our yellow and orange bell peppers so we used these instead of green, and it came out absolutely delicious. I wouldn’t change a thing, though I imagine if you want to use a cheaper priced roast meat that would likely work just as well, it’s just that sirloin is leader. Gonna make this again.
we halved it. there is only the two of us. This was a great meal. My wife liked it so much she said we would probably have once a month.
We loved this. Super easy and flavorful. While doing Whole30, used coconut aminos and tapioca instead of soy sauce and cornstarch.
Very tasty! The only difference was that I made this dish in my microwave pressure cooker.
I added red cooking wine and worcestershire sauce and it was good!!
I cooked this exactly as it indicated and served over rice and it was GREAT!!
This was really good. I added a tad bit more water, garlic powder to the browning meat, and a teaspoon of wostershire sauce. But those were the only differences. It came out awesome. I also cooked it on high for 4.5 hours to save some time. Still was very tasty!
Very tasty, but I would omit the salt next time. The soy sauce is salty enough for us.
Not great. Kinda bland.
It was ok, but nothing outstanding. Put brown gravy over the beef and rice, without it, it would have been dry. I will make again but will not add salt.
My DH and I liked it, but I wish it had more flavor to it. I think with some adjustments it will be even better!
This was pretty darn tasty!!!!
too gooey
This is delicious! Even my kids like it and they cant stand bell pepper. I want to say I followed the recipe exactly, but I made 2 mistakes: 1) I accidentally used worchershire sauce instead of soy sauce (the bottles look the same!) and I misread the amount of sirloin and only bought 1.5 lbs. It was still awesome! Ill make it correctly next time and expect it to be even better.
MADE THIS TONIGHT STOVETOP…TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!!
Great, but I made a few changes. Left out the salt because of the soy sauce and left out the sugar, switched the green peppers for red (which are sweeter than green). Thanks for the recipe.
This is really good rustic home cooking. Great with mashed potatoes.
