Ingredients

  1. 2 pounds ground beef
  2. 4 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  3. 6 dashes Worcestershire sauce (less if you prefer)
  4. 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  5. Freshly ground black pepper
  6. 8 whole dinner (or slider) rolls, split
  7. 1 pound thick-cut peppered bacon
  8. 3 yellow onions, halved and sliced
  9. 3 tablespoons butter
  10. 8 ounces gorgonzola
  11. Cooked sliders and/or macaroni and cheese, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat.
  2. Mix the ground beef, heavy cream, Worcestershire and the salt and some pepper in a bowl. Use your hands to thoroughly mix the ingredients. Form 1/4 cup of the meat mixture into patties, making 16 patties total. Make an indentation with your thumb to keep the patties from plumping too much when they cook.
  3. Grill the sliders until just cooked through, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Remove from the grill and pile on a platter.
  4. Toast the halved buns on the grill. Place the sliders between the buns and serve immediately.
  5. Fry the bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat until slightly crisp, about 8 minutes. Remove from the pan and cut into bite-size pieces.
  6. In a separate pan, cook the onions in the butter over a low heat until caramelized, 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Use a fork to crumble the gorgonzola.
  8. Put the bacon, caramelized onions and crumbled gorgonzola into separate bowls. Serve as delicious toppings for both sliders and macaroni cheese.

The texture of these burgers was great thanks to the cream. They stayed very moist and also held together nicely. I might add more Worcestershire sauce and pepper next time around.

Awesome…If you like these people, try her Spicy Whiskey Sliders from her site…I can’t find them on the Food Network, but let me tell you, if you like whiskey ( and I LOVE whiskey , bbq sauce, jalapenos, and onions, you will love her recipe…BEST freakin’ sliders I’ve ever eaten….check it out, you won’t regret it…

Really glad I watched the video or I would have missed the Gorgonzola, bacon, and caramelized onions.

I’ll use King’s Hawaiian rolls, they just seem to be the right size and flavor for sliders.

Added my own “secret” ingredient…a tablespoon of bacon fat! Cooked them the White Castle Slider method…poked 4 small holes in the middle (they close up and steamed by placing over caramelized diced onion, covered pan for 3 minutes. Tender, juicy and very flavorful!
