Bourbon Street Rib-Eye Steak

  4.1 – 105 reviews  • Rib-Eye Steak Recipes

This inexpensive name-brand bottled coffee drink, to which I somehow developed an addiction, is a clone of this straightforward coffee. Additionally, it’s a terrific method to utilize the leftover coffee that is constantly poured down the drain the following day.

Prep Time: 7 mins
Cook Time: 8 mins
Total Time: 15 mins
Servings: 4
Yield: 4 steaks

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup water
  2. ⅔ cup bourbon whiskey
  3. ½ cup soy sauce
  4. ¼ cup packed brown sugar
  5. 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  6. 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  7. 4 (6 ounce) beef rib-eye steaks

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the water, bourbon whiskey, soy sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice in a bowl, and pour into a plastic zipper bag. Add the rib-eye steaks, coat with the marinade, squeeze out excess air, and seal the bag. Marinate in the refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight.
  2. Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat, and lightly oil the grate.
  3. Remove the rib-eye steaks from the marinade, and shake off excess. Discard the remaining marinade. Grill the steaks on high, 1 to 2 minutes per side, to sear the meat. Move the steaks to a cooler part of the grill and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes per side, if desired.

The marinade was great! I will salt steaks after removing from marinade and before placing on grill. The flavor was amazing, I allowed the steaks to marinate for 10 hours.

Leave the water out and you’ll actually get flavor in the meat.

This is indeed a wonderful recipe. For the 1st time in over 50 years of marriage I was able to fix my husband a good steak – he was very pleased with the taste. Thank you Judy & Allrecipes.

My husband and I did NOT like this recipe. I followed it to the T but the flavor seemed dead. I usually just marinate with Worcestershire sauce but this one was not enjoyable.

Delicious! Used lemon and lime juice, and marinated 3 ribeyes for 48 hrs. Cooked one every 2 days. Flavored the fat really well.

I followed the recipe to the fullest. The difference being, I baked it in the oven for one hour covered at 400°. I removed the foil, flipped the steaks over and cooked uncovered for an additional 40 minutes. I like my meat well done and no pink. I enjoyed the flavor.

Great flavor. I made a couple changes. Used Appleton Dark Rum we had from one of our trips to the Caribbean. Also used Splenda brown sugar. And used a low sodium soy sauce.

Loved this marinade! I used four roses small batch bourbon which is a bit on the sweet side. I was worried it would either have no bourbon flavor or be over powering but it was neither! Very well balanced with just a hint of bourbon flavor.

The steak was still a bit blue when cooked by the time on the recipe. I like a rare steak but this was excessively rare.

Excellent! Such good flavor. I have made this with both bourbon and honey whiskey and it is delicious. Let it marinade overnight. The flavor is phenomenal!

This is one steak marinade to remember. The timing on searing and cooking the steak is perfect for me. Speaking of which, each bite you take is like sipping a sweet glass of bourbon whiskey on the rocks (minus the rocks). Whoever came up with recipe first, props due!!

No changes. I will not make it again. I didn’t like the flavor.

I loved how these turned out. Based on the reviews, I marinated them overnight. The flavor was perfect. I wouldn’t do any less then 24hrs or there won’t be enough flavor throughout the steak. We grilled 4 min on each side turning only once. Then let sit for 5 minutes before cutting. A perfect Medium rare. And so tender. This recipe is a keeper. I may try it on chicken as well!

No changes. It was great. I only had one hour to marinade the steaks and that was plenty.

Really love that marinade for the steak. Definitely a meal when craving steak that is filling and delicious.

I FOLLOWED THE RECIPE TO THE LETTER, MARINADE DID NOT GO THROUGH THE MEAT TO WELL.

Needed salt, but I liked it. My husband didn’t care for it but he likes really spicy.
