Toasted Almond Green Beans

Ingredients

  1. 2 cans (14.5-oz each) Del Monte® Cut Green Beans, drained
  2. 3 oz. slivered almonds
  3. 3 Tbsp. butter, divided use
  4. 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  5. 11/2 tsp. lemon juice
  6. 1/4 tsp. ground cumin
  7. 1/8 tsp. salt or to taste
  8. Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1. Heat large skillet over medium-high heat. Add almonds, cook 2-3 minutes or until browned, stirring frequently, being careful not to burn. Add 2 Tbsp. of the butter, Worcestershire, lemon juice, and cumin. Cook until butter has melted, stirring constantly. Set aside on separate plate.
  2. 2. Melt remaining butter over medium-high heat. Add beans, cook 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, sprinkle almond mixture over all. Salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Note: May toss and let stand for 5 minutes to absorb flavors.

Very good! I used fresh green beans instead of canned. This makes a great recipe for guests or if you just want to impress your husband!
