I’m shocked no one has commented on the obviously incorrect 1/4 tsp. of honey. You should use more like 1/4 cup! That’s what similar recipes I’ve found online use.
Tried it after a trip to Hawaii…Ditched the hot sauce for tajin! Amazing
Made as directed the first time but couldn’t really taste the ingredients. Made it again and added 3T honey and 4T of Frank’s Hot Sauce. Left out salt as the butter was salted. Much better. It’s how I make it now. It’s like buffalo pineapple instead of wings.
Made it using 1/2 teaspoon of New Mexico red chili instead of dash of Tabasco. Delish!
Delicious
This recipe is amazing. My new favorite way to eat pineapple. I buy a pineapple every couple weeks just to grill.
Interesting taste. Not too bad, could be sweeter. Will try again.
Nice change from potatoes and corn when paired with pork chops.
Made the fruit exactly as written, except for cutting in thin wedges instead of rings (and used the whole pineapple instead of wasting the core). Did not add ice cream. Served with sesame-ginger-miso grilled salmon, roasted broccoli, and fried rice. 3 adults inhaled the pineapple, & asked if there was more. I didn’t even get to taste it!
Love this grilled pineapple recipe! Made it at least 3 times! Disappeared from the serving platter in the blink of an eye! Whole family loved it. Did not make any changes.
We couldn’t taste the marinade at all, even though I doubled up on the honey, but it was still good. I think that with a little tweaking, this will be terrific. I look forward to trying it again.
I’ve made this according to the recipe several times. It makes a great side for a steak dinner along with grilled veggies, served alone or with grilled pears for dessert, or diced and added to coleslaw for a BBQ feast. Everyone I’ve served it to loves it.
I used a little Sriracha as the hot sauce. Although I only marinated it about a half hour, the pineapple was still nicely flavored. My husband loved it.
I made this recipe as is with the exception of cutting the pineapple into spears instead of rings. Turned out really juicy and REALLY sweet! I actually dipped mine in a bit of salt as I was eating to cut the sweetness some. Would be really good in a cole slaw or in a margarita!
The only thing that I need to do next time is make sure that we cut out the center of the pineapple.
Grilled Pineapple was the best. Ill admit i was skeptical at first but realized how life changing the fact that fruit can be good hot!!!!
Really easy and my guests loved it. We don’t have a grill handy so I did it on a very hot grill pan on the stove. Worked just fine. I thought the hot sauce was a great idea, used about 1/8 tsp, and kept it from being too sweet.
The hot sauce was a great addition, would recommend
Wonderful taste and easy to make. Used as a side dish but would have made a great dessert too!
Perfect to accompany a grilled chicken dish!
I added a dash more honey and butter with Siracha and it was FABULOUS!!
