Easy and delicious
I really enjoyed this recipe, and my hubby absolutely loved it. It will be added into our rotation. It is an easy recipe and the time in the kitchen is limited, but you do have to plan ahead for the marinating time. I was worried about the marinating time but was happy the seasoning didn’t overpower the shrimp. I followed the recipe exactly.
Substituted random spices for Italian seasoning.
I don’t recall if I left a previous review but it bears repeating anyway! Hands down the best grilled shrimp recipe I’ve tried. This is my go to recipe. I just spent 30 minutes trying to find the recipe online again. Glad I did!
Fantastic. Everyone wanted more…
Delicious! I served these yesterday at a small Christmas Wine and Appies gathering. Large Argentinian Prawns. It was freezing outside, with ice and snow. We served them with Spring Rolls, cold cuts, dips, crackers and cheese. Then a small dessert plate….They were such a hit! I may add a bit of heat another time. I didn’t BarBQ them. I sauteed them in butter and a bit of oil. Great recipe. Thanks.
This recipe was so easy to make and absolutely delicious! Marinate for 2 hrs to get the best flavor prior to grilling. I have saved, printed and shared this recipe as it was so good.
I loved this recipe but did cut back the sugar since it does tend to burn on bbq and did add lime juice as well as lemon but would add more next time to have more of a citrus flavor come through. Overall very good!
Really, really good. Followed exactly except due to weather- broiled vs on grill. What I think I should have done; removed shrimp from marinade and broiled for 5-7 min. What I actually did was transferred shrimp + marinade from bowl to baking dish to broil. – which took almost 9-10 min. I also felt needed a pinch of salt. Overall! Would do this again! Grill or broiler! Good recipe!!
This is an AMAZING recipe!! Everyone loved it and everyone ate lots and lots! You should also make an extra serving of the marinade and keep it in a separate bowl. Marinate them and then use the extra you made as a baste while it is grilling. That way is fizzes and boils kind of on the grill. It helps enhance the flavor. Use copper mats on the grill so the baste stays on the shrimp and they wont stick. Chicken is good in this recipe bit let it marinate at least 2 days.
Was really really good!!! I did cut back on the sugar tho only used 1/2 – I followed another reviewers tip!!!
The shrimp and marinade were great. However, I got stuck on what sides to serve with it. that wouldn’t compete with or overpower the flavor of the shrimp. I ended up making brown rice risotto and chopped spinach.
Easy and delicious. Cut in half for two. Perfect as written. If desired you could swap out the Italian seasoning for Cajun seasoning and have a different flavor profile.
Delicious! I made as written and marinated for about 5 hours. Looking at the recipe, I thought there would be too much spice (especially the garlic). It was perfect!
Turned out very well. I made it for dinner guests and they loved it so I make it for special dinners. Thanks for the recipe!!
Was a little band I added touch if old bay, some Thai chili oil and it was delicious.
Great, easy recipe. I substituted honey instead of sugar because it’s what I had and it was perfect. I did have to cook it longer but that could have been because I didn’t preheat the grill long enough.

We loved this! I even sent it to a friend who really enjoyed it as well. Great recipe
Excellent
I can’t wait to try this version as we LOVE grilled shrimp. I am going to take everyone’s comments into consideration. Yummm Cut brown sugar to 1 tsp and add a little dry white wine Marinade 1 hr or 2hrs as recipe mentioned. Can use melted butter on left over marinade to coat on the grill.
