Reviews
I have used this recipe for years, and have always gotten glowing reviews from everyone eating it. It’s simple, easy, and I cant imagine making banana pudding any other way!
I really like this recipe a lot. It’s simple to make and the consistency of the custard is always great. It tastes great. I also like the fact that it does not have a merenge, which I do not like. I have not tried Paula’s “not yo mama’s banana pudding” because if it starts with instant puddng I don’t expect it to be especially good.
I could have done something wrong but, didn’t have the pudding texture I wanted. It was a little “runny”. The flavor was great. I think I?ll try one more time.
I have been looking for a recipe that was similar to my husbands G Moms recipe. This is as close as I’ve come. Next time I will use less than a 12 oz. box of wafers but he ate almost a third his 1st taste!! Very easy to make & like an old fashioned Nana pudding w/ fresh whipped cream on top.
i love this recipe i love the pudding i could eat it all by myself
i love the smoothness of this pudding. Ihave tried nmerous recipes to get a good recipe and this is the best i am a man and love to cook but i want other people to also enjoy what i cook my girlfriend thinks i am a master at cooking she just doesn’t know this is where i get my recipes
This recipe has been in my family since I was a kid, now over 60yo, and has always been a hit…But like someone else said, your choice of vanilla wafer makes a big difference…Nabisco, sorry…Sunshine was the only choice, but now they are gone…As I understand it Keebler bought Sunshine, and that’s the only change that has been made to this recipe…And yes it is right on the TOO SWEET border, but I don’t know anyone who has ever dared to cut back on the amount…Not in my family anyway…Enjoy this without reservation…
This is a very good recipe. It is on the almost-too-sweet side, but it went over very well with my Northern friends who had never had it before (can you believe it?!?!).
you haven’t tried Paulas Not you Mammas Banana Pudding yet!!
Made this recipe three times; good quality vanilla wafers (Mother’s brand)make a difference. My grandkids love this recipe.
