Ingredients

  1. 2 1/2 sticks butter, softened
  2. 2 cups sugar
  3. 2 eggs
  4. 2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  5. 2 cups all-purpose flour
  6. 3/4 cup cocoa
  7. 1 teaspoon baking soda

  10. 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Using a mixer, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy, scraping the sides once. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing after each addition. Mix in the vanilla.
  3. Sift together the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt, and then add in batches to the mixer, mixing until just combined after each addition. Gently blend in the white chocolate and chocolate chips.
  4. Using a cookie scoop, add 1 tablespoon portions to a baking sheet. Bake until the cookies are done but still soft and chewy, about 8 minutes.
  5. Let cool on a baking rack. Yummy!

These were the best cookies ever!!! So easy and turned out perfectly! I refrigerated half of the dough for about 15 minutes and those cookies turned out plump and looked prettier. I didn’t change any ingredients. Recommend a glass of milk with these rich but delicious cookies.

I agree with Lisa M. Way too much butter, mine came out like pancake. Added more flour to save the rest.

Very poorly constructed and written recipe. Too much butter. Not enough flour. Trashed 2 trays before adding another cup of flour. Taste was good with correction and cookies actually held together.

Cannot believe this recipe was tested/approved by Food Network. Measurements must be precise. Not 2 1/2 sticks of butter – should be a real measurement in cups. Also, the recipe makes way too many cookies for the typical baker.

Delicious! All boys/men in my family devoured these. Very tasty and just a tad different from typical chocolate chip cookies. These are my new favorite. Adding in nuts this time.

Love how this recipe can be modified. I made these for Christmas and added 1 1/2 cups of Andes peppermint crunch baking chips and 2 cups of chocolate chips. SO SO GOOD.

My family can’t get enough of these!!! So delicious and always a hit in any company! They are requested at every event now!

Love this recipe I split the cocoa between milk and dark chocolate but leave out the chocolate chips because of the dark chocolate. My family has added these to our long list of Christmas baking!!!!!

-Instead of 2 cups white sugar use 1 cup white sugar and 1 cup of brown sugar
-Over all great recipe just make that 1 minor change
