Ingredients
- 1/4 cup sriracha chili sauce
- 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 10 thick-cut bacon slices, each cut into 4 pieces (approximately 2 inches each)
- Nonstick cooking spray, for spraying the rack
- 1 1/2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
- 1 1/2 tablespoons black sesame seeds
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Stir together the sriracha and brown sugar in a medium bowl; add the bacon pieces and toss to coat. Set aside.
- Line a large rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil; place a wire rack over the foil. Spray the rack liberally with cooking spray. Place the bacon pieces in a single layer on the rack.
- Bake until the bacon is almost crisp, 15 to 20 minutes. Sprinkle the bacon with the toasted and black sesame seeds and bake an additional 5 minutes. Cool for 5 to 8 minutes, moving the bacon pieces slightly on the rack every 2 minutes to prevent sticking. (The bacon will crisp more as it cools.)

This was awesome, everyone loved it! I did bake the bigger pieces for 5-10 minutes more than the recipe to ensure crispy ness! But everyone loved it!
Best easy appetizer ever! And everyone loves them. I’ve even made them as a whole bacon strip for a Bloody Mary garnish with a celery stick!
I made this recipe for my Dirty Santa party and these little tasty bites were the hit of the table. I put them on very festive toothpicks since they are a bit sticky. A new staple.
Absolutely delightful! I used dark brown sugar because that’s what I had on hand, and only used 4 slices of bacon since it was just my husband and I. We could have this everyday!
I like bacon ok, but I don’t love bacon like some do. That could really change with this recipe! Omgoodness are these good. I can’t even explain how good they are. We made a batch and a half for a get-together and they were gone in about 3 minutes. We made another batch yesterday and they were gone in about 2 minutes. My nieces boyfriend – who never eats anything, asked why we only made 40 pieces. So we made another batch today, hoping everyone was sick of them and we’d get more! Lol Alas, that was not the case. So very good!!! If you’re making them, go ahead and double up the recipe. Trust me.
Easy and flavorful! I’ve made them several times for parties. Always a hit.
Great, needed to bring a second appetizer to thanksgiving, we were invited and not requested to bring anything. So we brought down the house instead, even my 89 year old mother loved this, and she is a no spice Scandinavian gal.
I made this for two holiday parties this year. Everyone loved them! Very easy to make. I’ll make this for every party from now on. Thank you, Valerie!
If making them the night before do you refrigerate them or just put them in a sealed container? I also cooked mine a little bit more to get them a little crispier on some of the pieces.
My family loved this bacon appetizer. Different twist to make bacon. The sweet with the hot!!
