Ingredients
- 4 cups apple cider
- 1 medium orange, cut into 1/2-inch-thick slices
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2 teaspoons whole cloves
- 1 teaspoon whole black peppercorns
Instructions
- Combine the cider, orange slices, cinnamon sticks, cloves and peppercorns in a large saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce the heat to low and cook until the cider is fragrant, about 20 minutes. Serve warm.

I made it with 4 cups of cider, as directed, and it was way too strong. I added a 2nd bottle of cider (4 more cups) to dilute it and then it was perfect.

Great recipe!
I presume you are supposed to strain out the orange, cloves, peppercorns, cinnamon sticks before serving. I cannot stand recipes that are not 100% clear on how to prepare !
