Turkey Roll Sushi

One of the most well-known Korean foods is bulgogi. It is incredibly tasty, and once you try it, you won’t soon forget it. Also, if you eat it with rice, it’s delicious. Give it a shot; you’ll love it!

Prep Time: 15 mins
Total Time: 15 mins
Servings: 4
Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  1. ¾ cup fresh spinach, chopped
  2. ¼ cup cream cheese, softened
  3. ¼ cup shredded Cheddar cheese, or more to taste
  4. 4 pickled peppers, chopped
  5. ½ spring onion (green part only), chopped, or more to taste
  6. 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  7. ¾ teaspoon ground black pepper
  8. 2 pinches red pepper flakes
  9. 2 flour tortillas
  10. ½ pound sliced deli turkey meat

Instructions

  1. Mix spinach, cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, pickled peppers, spring onion, garlic powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes together in a bowl. Spread cream cheese mixture, about 1-inch wide, over the top portion of each tortilla, reserving about 1 tablespoon cream cheese mixture for sealing.
  2. Arrange turkey onto each tortilla below the cream cheese mixture section. Spread a thin line of reserved cream cheese mixture below the turkey section of each tortilla for sealing. Starting at the end with the most cream cheese mixture, roll each tortilla around the filling, sealing together with the opposite end with small amount of cream cheese mixture. Cut 1/2-inch-wide slices from roll creating turkey ‘sushi’ rolls.
  3. Sprinkle more cheese if desired in another row below the turkey before rolling.
  4. Wipe knife after each slice to keep rolls clean.

Made these as one of the Appetizers for our small new years party! It was just great.. I did have to make a couple small substitutions (Different chiles. I used Chipolte ) and different cheese, I used Manchego, to make do with what I had on hand, but it was great! and I am sure it will be better when I try it again!

made it a second time, but used banana peppers instead of pickled peppers. I also added a little mild salsa to the mix. Tasted much better!

This was really simple and tasty! I was craving spinach and cream cheese, but didn’t know what to make, and I came across this recipe. I inadvertently added salt, so it was a tad too salty. Other than that, it was great. You can use whatever you have on hand. I think next time I will add red peppers for a little crunch and extra flavor.

Even my husband who hates wraps loved it. I substituted cream cheese with Boursin cheese added only spinach, pickled peppers and cheddar cheese according to recipe, it was delicious! Thanks

I love this! The only change I made was reducing recipe for 2 servings which I ate by myself(oops my bad). Thanks for a great recipe.

I wanted this for my lunch and really liked it. As the submitter suggested, this is a perfect recipe for customizing with whatever you happen to have. Since I didn’t have pickled peppers, I subbed dill pickles. I also felt that the amount of garlic called for would be too much, so I just sprinkled and tasted until I liked the flavor. While I ate this for lunch, I can really see it on an appetizer tray as well.
