Sharon’s No-Bake Granola Bars

  4.7 – 5 reviews  • Granola Bar Recipes

I’ve perfected a great dinner that can be prepared ahead of time throughout the years. As follows: I roast two little turkeys as opposed to one larger one. We all prefer the concept of the turkey being cut at the table, but the majority of people are unable to do it. The side dishes will become tepid while the turkey juices will ruin that lovely white tablecloth. In the kitchen, carve one, and use the second for decoration. The second turkey will only be served as decoration and for leftovers.

Prep Time: 15 mins
Cook Time: 5 mins
Total Time: 20 mins
Servings: 16
Yield: 16 bars

Ingredients

  1. 2 ½ cups quick oats
  2. 2 cups granola (such as Kashi®)
  3. ½ cup sunflower seed kernels
  4. ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
  5. ¼ cup raisins
  6. ¼ cup sweetened dried cranberries (such as Craisins®)
  7. ¼ cup ground flax seeds
  8. ⅔ cup crunchy peanut butter
  9. ⅔ cup honey
  10. ⅔ cup light brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix quick oats, granola, sunflower seeds, chocolate chips, raisins, dried cranberries, and ground flax seeds together in a large bowl.
  2. Combine peanut butter, honey, and brown sugar together in a saucepan, stirring constantly over medium-low heat until sugar melts, about 5 minutes. Remove saucepan from heat and pour peanut butter mixture over cereal mixture, stirring until well-blended. Press mixture firmly into 9×13-inch pan. Cut into 16 bars.
  3. Any type or flavor peanut butter may be used. My favorite is Planters Cherry Chocolate(R).
  4. The same amount of any dried fruit or nuts may be substituted.

This month I tried 4 energy bar type recipes. This one is easily the BEST. Ingredients, texture, firmness, taste….all 10 out of 10.

I think this is a great recipe! I liked them better the 2nd day as I think they needed to kind of mix together better. My only substitution was crunchy almond butter for the peanut butter.

The only changes I made were: I used dark brown sugar, creamed peanut butter with chopped peanuts, and my home made granola/muesli. Was a little dry/crumbly. I think this is a great base, and just have to play with measurements to get the right consistency with my own granola.

This was a quick and easy granola bar recipe and they are great to wrap individually for snacks during a long day!

This was so easy and very tasty. I had to substitute pine nuts instead of sunflower seed kernels and I didn’t have any flaxseeds and I used a healthy granola mix kind of cereal instead of granola but I am very happy with the result. It might rate a five star if I had all of the proper ingredients. I gave it four stars because it was a little soft and sticky but I think that was because of my substitutions. The flavor is incredible and although soft they held together pretty well.
