This is a great recipe for a cookout or just for the family. I have made this recipe twice now. the first time I made it as it as written and it was good but the second time I made some changes. the second time I made this I substituted olive oil for the vegetable oil which I feel enhanced the flavors of the seasoning and made it a little healthier than using regular vegetable oil. I also increase the cayenne pepper to one teaspoon and we added some peanuts and some rye chips to the mix this time. I didn’t decrease the amount of oil that the original recipe calls for because of the added items. after everything was mixed really well we poured it on a baking sheet with parchment paper and I put it in the oven on 170 for about 10 minutes to help dry them out a little. I have to say the second that was a lot better than the first batch not because of the added peanuts and raw chips but I think it was because using olive oil instead of vegetable oil just enhance the flavors of the original seasonings. This is a recipe that I will be making a lot of. I have 6 kids so this is a quick and easy snack that can be changed up by adding different things. my kids suggested that I add Cheez-Its or the cheese flavored fish crackers next time.
I took these to a family reunion and they were a hit! This is definitely going into my “take again” box, super easy, super flavor!!! Thanks
Loved it! Simple and the family gobbled them up~YUM! Thanks for sharing. 🙂
I made these for the first time at Thanksgiving….wow great snack and addictive! I did reduce the amount of oil to 1/2 cup based on previous reviews I read. Just made two batches for my youngest adult son who just LOVES them!
I use half a cup of oil and one teaspoon of cayenne pepper. Pretty amazing and easy.
Tasty but too much oil.
THESE ARE SO GOOD ! It was so hard not to eat them all before I gave them to my daughter. I bought cheap pretzels and had all the other ingredients. I would definitely make these again.
Awesome! I used a 16 oz bag of pretzels and it was perfect!
Nice little snack.. would be good to try with other dressing mix flavors too and even olive oil
Wow! Pretty much says it all.
I use my own homemade dry ranch dressing mix and I up the cayenne to a full teaspoon. We LOVE these pretzels. I do bake mine but really, it’s a personal preferance that I do that and not reflective of the recipe. GREAT movie night snack!
