No-Bake Energy Bites

  4.8 – 518 reviews  • Energy Ball Recipes

A healthier alternative to conventional no-bake cookies are these energy bites. Such excellent news for you as well! Every time I make them, I receive requests for the recipe. Both kids and adults love them, and they always sell out quickly. Although it’s not required, I keep them in the freezer because I believe frozen foods taste the finest.

Additional Time: 1 hr
Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins
Servings: 24

Theses are very good. Everyone loved them. I store in the fridge, but honestly the are only around for a day or two. Especially love the no bake during the summer months.

I made these & brought them to my daughter’s house when I was visiting. She loved them & now I make her a batch whenever I visit. I want to try adding cocoa powder in place of the chocolate chips. Great recipe!

Great recipe! Easy to make – I use Mixed Nut Butter instead of peanut butter -so yummy. Even picky kid loves them.

Perfect ratio, easy to roll. I used smooth peanut butter. Have subbed a bit of molasses (10-30%) for honey without notice. One recipe was enough for my teenage son for a few days (note to self). They are tasty, but unfortunately LOADED with seed oils (worse than anything else you could possibly consume) via peanut butter and flax..so I only make these once or twice a year. It’s not a healthy snack but we like it.

Excellent healthy snack and So Easy to make. I added 1/2 cup of dried cranberries.

Yum, Yum, Yum! These don’t last long with 3 teen boys in the house! I’d rather have them snacking on these cold treats than store bought processed snacks & cookies! The nice thing is this recipe is so versatile. I’ve made batches with dried cranberries, or shredded coconut, or chia seeds, and sometimes I add a dusting of cinnamon! The recipe is perfect as is, but it’s fun to experiment with different flavors and textures!

To make these better for diabetics I use “no sugar added” smooth peanut butter (Jiff or Skippy make it), sugar free maple syrup (any generic brand) instead of honey, chop up a handful of unsalted dry roasted peanuts and cut back to 1/3 cup chocolate chips. Works great for my diabetic family members!

My daughter loves them. I toasted the Oats along with some Coconut and added golden raisins.

These are great! I toasted the oatmeal, added toasted coconut flakes, and added some vanilla protein powder. I also double the recipe. Since I toasted the oatmeal and coconut flakes and they were warm in the bowl, they melted the chocolate chips but I think that just blended more flavor in. Will make again for sure.

This is super easy to make! I thought the peanut butter would be overwhelming but it wasn’t. My daughter absolutely loved this and we’ll be making the next batch for school next week! Thank you.

These are so good. Just made them for the second time, but doubled the recipe this time!

In the freezer now but couldn’t wait to try it as I was rolling them up. YUMMY! And look how much money I saved by not buying them premade! I even doubled the batch.

What a invention!!! Love it in every way! Thank you

These are delicious and just enough to give you a little energy and satisfy a sweet tooth. I added 1/4 cup of vanilla protein powder to the mix. I refrigerated the mix for about 20 minutes which made it much easier to roll into balls.

Yum!! Great just as written but I’ve made them so much I’ve tried a few variations. I toast my oats in the oven for a few minutes for a better cooked texture. I’ve also subbed in mini m&ms and less honey and they are still very yummy. Kids never get enough of these bites. Great for on the go breakfast!

I didn’t have vanilla extract but I did add ? cup of chia seeds. These are delicious. Thank you SO MUCH for coming up with this recipe. This is my favorite snack now??

Easy to whip up. I used a cookie scoop to make up the balls. So easy and so tasty.

Very good! I didn’t have any flax seed so I used 1/4 cup chia seeds and 1/4 cup hemp hearts as a substitute. I also added some unsweetened cocoa powder, just because. I’ll definitely make these again!

Versatile, healthy and delicious. I’ve been making these little snack balls for years, after a nutritionist gave me the recipe. You can substitute any of the ingredients and make your own flavors. I have used maple syrup instead of honey, any number of different nut butters instead of peanut butter, and dried fruit and nuts in place of, and along with, chocolate chips. They are a great grab and go breakfast or after-school treat. Using a medium sized pampered chef scoop results in a tad over 15 snack balls. I always use cooking spray on the scoop for the first ball, because the nut butters and sugars (honey or maple syrup) make them quite sticky.

Loved it. Easy and simple.

I’ve made these a few times now. My teenagers love them…. probably too much. Initially they wanted them for after they worked out but they disappear really quickly. I’m now making triple batches! I’ve made with creamy and crunchy PB, both are really good. Used food processor for the oats and chocolate but I don’t think it makes enough difference to warrant dirtying the extra dishes. No need to use the flax or chia if you aren’t into that.
