Delicious red wine-based sauce that pairs perfectly with filet mignon or New York strip steaks. This can complement a roast or prime rib as well.

- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ¼ teaspoon hot sauce

- For a creamier cheese, use more beer.
- The higher-quality beer and cheese you use, the more flavorful it will taste and the better (less greasy) the consistency will be.
Reviews
Really good beer cheese! A very slight heat, so if you want it spicy, you’ll need to add more cayenne and/or hot sauce. I ended up adding more beer to make it a smoother consistency. I’m not a fan of this served cold, so I served it right away at room temp. Note: there is no need to warm up the beer, since you normally make beer cheese with room temperature beer – which was the intention judging from the recipe creator’s original recipe, however the edited, published version implies warming the beer.
