When I was out of spaghetti sauce, I created this Sloppy Joe pasta recipe!

Ingredients
- 10 walnut halves
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese (such as Philadelphia®), softened
- ¼ cup orange blossom honey
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Place walnuts on a baking sheet. Bake until toasted and fragrant, about 10 minutes. Transfer walnuts to a plate to cool. When walnuts are cool, transfer to a resealable plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin.
- Combine cream cheese, honey, and walnuts in a food processor and pulse until creamy.
- You can also try mixing in a tub of Cool Whip whipped topping and use it as a spread over or between two layers of a sponge cake.

I didn’t have orange blossom honey, but I did have orange extract, so I added a few drops and I saw that I had green onion in the fridge, so I snipped some of that in there too. Really good if you like sweet dips. It was a change of pace from my usual savory/spicy cream cheese dips.
So crazy simple! We used raw honey. Delicious! Local grocery store wants $4.99 + tax for 6 oz. container. This was under $2.50 to make, fresher, and tastier! Definitely the way to go from now on!
I’ve made this 2 times now. Delicious and five stars as written! For my own personal preference I added 1 tbsp brown sugar and doubled the honey. I don’t really eat bagels, but I made it to dip my apples in it. This one is a keeper!
I did make this and I added a little brown sugar to it… It was Super Delicious! Who would’ve known you didnt have to spend a fortune to get a GREAT quality spread for your bagels.. or whatever you want to put it on!
Made just as listed. So easy & so good!
I decreased honey to 1T added 1t molasses, 1T brown sugar. 1/4t cinnamon,. Omitted nuts. Yummy
We always toast the walnuts in an oven or a toaster oven. Anyways, we hope you love it however you may prepare it, toaster oven or not!
Scaled down to 3 servings, used reduced fat cream cheese, toasted the chopped walnuts (didn’t have halves) in the toaster oven, and then blended in my Cuisinart immersion blender mini-chopper (for an easier cleanup than using a food processor). We had this for breakfast on toasted mini cinnamon raisin bagels, and my husband said “…this is as good or better than any cream cheese spread you’ve ever made for bagels.” Haven’t had Trader Joe’s honey walnut cream cheese, but this is made fresh, and I doubt TJ’s could compare more favorably to this version, Totally easy to make, and the honey and the walnuts share equally in making this awesome. Thanks for sharing Cute Brunettes.!
