I didn’t follow measurements precisely and ended up a little saltier than desired, but I liked it. Pretty easy to make.
Absolutely delicious! Added sliced off the cob fresh corn. Used two avocados and fresh parsley instead of cilantro and lemon juices because didn’t have lime juice. Everyone loved it!
I’ve had better.
This was my first attempt at making guacamole and boy was it good! I added 2 tablespoons more of lime juice (enhances the fresh flavor in my opinion), and cut up my veggies and peppers a little chunkier as I like a thicker guac. I ate it with some cafe style tortilla chips and enjoyed my guilt free late night snack.
It was really good but I found that 1/2 a large onion is just too much onion for me and I like onions. I also used a Florida avocado also which is twice the size of a normal avocado. If using the smaller variety I would use 2 of them.
Took 30 mins to make, ate in 10 seconds lol
Seriously good recipe but if you cook regularly just throw the measurements out the window and use your gut. Use at least 2 avocados and don’t be scared of the Worcester sauce. Don’t serve right away, chill it a couple hours with the plastic wrap right on top to prevent browning. The pits have nothing to do with it other than the spot it’s touching the guac. Just prevent the top from being exposed to air.
This guacamole was fantastic! I doubled the recipe and modified some of the ingredients to what I had on hand. I used a white onion, fresh chopped garlic, substituted jalapeño for Serrano peppers, added some sliced green onions, and omitted the Worcestershire, hot sauce, and cilantro. I served this at a 4th of July BBQ and several people asked for the recipe.

I used what I had on hand which was fresh garlic, onion powder, no tomatoes,no cilantro, lime juice from the bottle, and a dried chili pepper, . ..don’t know what kind, and it still turned out great.
I did not use serrano, I used jalapenos instead, giving it a slightly milder spiciness. I also used Mexican chili mix powder instead of using hot sauce.
I usually dont rate a recipe if I dont follow it exactly, but… since the only thing I substituted was sambal oelek for the hot sauce and the serrano pepper I still think I was pretty close to the original. this guac was fantastic!
Taste really good, i will make it again for sure
Wowzer!!!!!followed exactly except for the worchestershire sauce… after reading the reviews decided not to this time. next time i will try it!
Ultimately Hubs and I loved this – but that wasn’t without playing with the amounts of certain ingredients significantly. I used twice as many avocados, for instance, while at the same time cutting back on the onion and chilies (I used jalapeno). Six cilantro leaves seemed like kind of an odd measurement so I disregarded it and just used what looked right. Worcestershire sauce was a new and different addition for me. I’ve noticed it in other guacamole recipes so I thought what the heck, I’ll give it a try. The flavor it gave the guacamole was interesting and just slightly different. All and all, if you add the ingredients “to taste” rather than following the recipe precisely, this is a pretty darned good guacamole recipe.
I love this recipe, as does everyone who tries my guac. I use a bit less worcestershire, otherwise perfect
Always a winner. My go to guàc recipe.
I just followed the directions exactly, and there was way too much seasoning! If I did this again, I would skip the worcestershire altogether and then scale back on the salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Great fresh flavor. Lots of zesty.
Great guacamole – very fresh and definitely on the zesty side! I did cut back on the red onion, used fresh garlic vs. garlic powder and opted out of the Worcestershire and additional hot sauce as a personal preferenc. Great with warm tortilla chips!
This is pretty much the recipe I’ve used for ages. However, I use 2-3 avocados keeping the rest of the measurements pretty much the same. Except I add some cumin and about 1/4 cup cilantro. We use it for chips, enchiladas, tostadas, everything. (And I just eyeball all the ingredients) Turns out great every time.
