Crock Pot® Party Meatballs

  4.9 – 22 reviews  • Meatball Appetizer Recipes

Using a food processor, which makes chopping the butter into the flour very straightforward, I prepare my favorite homemade pie crust. You can prepare this in two batches and freeze the individually wrapped dough for upcoming pie-related activities.

Prep Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 3 hrs
Total Time: 3 hrs 5 mins
Servings: 8
Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

  1. 1 (2 pound) bag frozen cooked meatballs
  2. 1 (14.5 ounce) can whole berry cranberry sauce
  3. 1 (12 ounce) bottle tomato-based chili sauce
  4. ½ lemon, juiced
  5. 2 drops hot sauce (such as Tabasco®), or more to taste

Instructions

  1. Place frozen meatballs into a slow cooker. Add cranberry sauce, chili sauce, lemon juice, and hot sauce. Stir to distribute sauce evenly over meatballs.
  2. Cook on High until meatballs are completely thawed and hot, about 3 hours.

I have been making these for 30+ years but my recipe calls for dijon mustard not hot sauce. I had never heard of that before. Tried it today with the addition of hot sauce and they were even better.

Made recipe as noted and it was delicious. If your friends demand fresh meatballs when you take the time to make them something, you might need new friends.

I took these to a small group event where we all brought “party foods.” They were a hit. One lady told me she had made these before but with the grape jelly recipe and liked them so much better! I agree!

No changes to recipe, was delicious as is.

Wow, this turned out to be super delicious! It is such an easy recipe too. I will use this at future potlucks as it’s sure to be a crowd pleaser. I made exactly as recipe states with the exception of adding a tad more lemon juice!

I needed to test this recipe before I c for others during the holidays. This recipe was simple and fantastic! Who knew by combining whole cranberry and chili sauces provide an incredible and different sauce. As another reviewer recommended by another reviewer, I used the Gardein vegetarian meatballs and we had these meatballs for dinner with plain rice and veggies. Great recipe.
Jamie Adams
I made it just as the recipe stated. Next time I make it, I’ll make homemade meatballs. Otherwise, it was easy and the sauce was very good!

These were delicious and a party hit! I added a little more spice by adding a hotter salsa and it made it not too spicy but sweet and spicy at the same time.
