Cream Cheese Fruit Dip

  4.6 – 102 reviews  • Fruit Dip

Everyone enjoys this cream cheese fruit dip, unless they are watching their calories. If you like, you can swap out reduced-fat cream cheese. Since it was introduced to me in college, it has become a favorite of mine. Enjoy with fruit such as strawberries, apples, bananas, oranges, pears, pineapple, etc.

Made as is and it was a huge hit at my party! People were literally eating it with a spoon. Thanks for this recipe!

Very tasty but a bit too sweet. Next time I will cut back on the brown sugar. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

This recipe was simple to make. We did make a couple additions to it. We added 12 cup of heavy cream and the juice of a lemon wedge. This not only thinned the mixture out a bit it gave the fruit dip a fresh taste. Everyone loved it. We served it with pineapple spears, apple wedges, pear slices and mandarin orange wedges. The addition of this dip made our spring luncheon a big hit.

I use this as a base for frosting for fruit breads banana, apple, and pumpkin for the holidays. I add 1/4 cup of browned butter and 1/2 cup of powdered sugar and a teaspoon of cinnamon and that takes this to the top!

I made this as written. Possibly a tad bit sweet, but we had no problem eating it. I used the leftovers to stuff a couple crepes the next morning….those were awesome.

Way too much vanilla extract…

We made waffle bowls for breakfast with this as a filler and added bananas and strawberries. We have a diabetic in the house, so I used less than half the sugar and my family loved it!

I prefer this with white sugar but the same measurements. I feel like the brown sugar gives it an odd flavor. But with that change its one of my favorite things to eat!

Made this quickly with the 3 ingredients, but did think it a bit sweet, so I added about 1/2 of a 6 oz. vanilla yogurt to the recipe and it made it much more palatable and “less stiff”.. Disappeared quickly. Served with strawberries, blueberries and blackberries.

I hate leaving reviews when I make changes to the recipe but it has to be noted that I did make changes according to my personal taste. Upon reading reviews I decided to add the sugar a little at a time and taste so as not to make it too sweet. I ended up using just under 1/2 c. I also only used about a teaspoon of vanilla. On fruit this is perfect but for crackers I poured a little of my homemade strawberry jam on top. I don’t feel people need to leave a negative review if something isn’t to your taste. Change it up. Add a little at a time and work it according to your taste. Everyone is different, everyone has different tastes.
