Nearly a thousand different layers of butter and dough are present in traditional puff pastry. While homemade blitz puff pastry is much simpler to produce, it doesn’t puff quite as high.

- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
Instructions
- Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

I used splenda (sugar substitute) and sugar free apricot jam for a low carb recipe. Family loved it. It tasted really good. Family asked for the recipe. I make it every Thanksgiving. I buy different crackers to use with the dip. I don’t think the crackers are so low carb though.
Excellent recipe! I used Splenda instead of sugar.
This was a hit at my Thanksgiving dinner party Thank you for the recipe!!
Made this for a family dinner went over very well. Asked to make it for Thanksgiving. Can be used as a appetizer or a dessert. Did cut back on the sugar to 1/2 cup. Added just a splash of Orange Juice while cooking the cranberries.
Used 3/4 cup sugar and substituted 3/4 cup orange marmalade for the apricot jam.
This recipe is to die for. I can’t believe how delicious it is. I folded the cream cheese in to the cranberry sauce. FABULOUS!
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! This was my go to dip around Christmas. Everyone raved about it everywhere I served/brought it. I didn’t change a thing. I served it with Pretzel Thins (someone else had mentioned it in a review) – the salt paired nicely with the sweetness of the cranberries. My guests could not get enough of the dip. It was always one of the first things that ran out at the party.
You can’t go wrong with the jam you use in this recipe. In my frig I had 1/4 cup of apricot spread and 3/4 cup of a fancy fig and orange jam. I took it to a party and everyone loved it. I made the whole batch, but only used 1/2 of it with an 8-ounce block of cream cheese. It was more than enough! This morning I had it on toasted bagels. Great recipe.
This dip was so easy and was the hit of the party! It’s now in my favorites!
We liked this but be aware that it makes a very large amount. If it’s a small gathering you will want to cut the recipe.
Everyone loved it.
This was delicious. I took it to work and it was a big hit, everyone asked for the recipe. The only thing I did different was that I used 2 pkgs. of cream cheese because there is a lot of the cranberry mixture.
Delicious as is! Made it for a second gathering with 3/4 cup sugar. It was still delicious but a little tart.
It’s much easier and economical to cook the berries & sugar in a saucepan. Takes very little time! And it’s THE tasiest! Pour over cream cheese, then spread on turkey sandwiches. YUMMM
Easy to make. Everyone raved about it.
Everyone loved it! Simple to make.
This dip went over quite well as an appetizer at Thanksgiving. I made the recipe as stated, and I served with both pretzels & round, buttery crackers. Super easy to make. Will most likely make it again at Christmas!
I made it for a family gathering and they loved it! My daughter made it for a potluck at work and again, it was a big hit! So easy to make as well!
I made the recipe pretty much exactly how it is written. I spread the cream cheese into the bottom of a serving dish and then poured about HALF of the cranberry mixture on top, and froze the rest to make another at Christmas. I left out the pecans bc I didn’t have any. It was delicious! Be sure to make the cranberry mixture the night before and let it sit in the refrigerator, it totally changes the flavor. I also sprinkled the top with slivered almonds. It was beautiful and delicious!
I made this as an appetizer for Thanksgiving. Received rave reviews from all, this is a keeper! I made and served exactly per directions, cut back sugar just a little. Will be my go-to holiday appetizer.
It was wonderful! A great hit with all at our Friendsgiving .
