Cinnamon-Sugar Pita Chips

These are very simple to prepare and deliciously addictive! All of my pals love them, and some of them just eat the chips on their own. They go well with hummus for dessert or on their own. You won’t be sorry if you pair them with my recipe for Pumpkin Pie Dessert Hummus.

Prep Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 15 mins
Total Time: 20 mins
Servings: 4
Yield: 16 chips

Ingredients

  1. 2 whole wheat, Greek-style pita breads
  2. 2 tablespoons olive oil
  3. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  4. ½ teaspoon white sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Cut each pita bread into 8 wedges and brush with olive oil. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on top and place wedges on a baking sheet.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until crispy on the edges and slightly soft in the middle, 12 to 14 minutes; they will harden as they cool.
  4. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container after cooling.
