Super tastee! First, I followed the ingredient list as written although I only did one loaf so I halved it. I am sure the preparation method listed makes for an even better outcome then my hack but for those who want to simplify this, here’s what I did and it turned out terrific. One French loaf cut in half lengthwise. Put in preheated oven (400 degrees) for 5 minutes prior to adding toppings to prevent from getting soggy. Then I combined the mayo/cheese mixture with the onion/garlic/butter mixture and spread it on the bread. Cook at 400 for five minutes then on high broil for 2 minutes. There was three of us for dinner and we almost finished the whole loaf. Thanks for the great recipe!

We had leftover hamburger buns. Didn’t want to freeze them again! this worked great. Adjust the measurements to accommodate your buns! We normally make garlic bread with leftover buns. This and a lettuce salad was a nice change!

Very good recipe. I took the comments into consideration when making this recipe and cut the mayonnaise in half and used olive oil when cooking my onions and garlic. I cooked it over low heat for some time until they were very soft. I also combined all of the ingredients together then spread them on the bread. It was a thick topping so I may not pile as much on the next time I make it but the flavors came together well and we really enjoyed it.

Best garlic bread recipe ever.

this did not turn out as expected based on the rave reviews. The only change I made was reducing the mayonnaise to 1/2 called for but I could still taste the mayo over the cheese and garlic. Yuck!

My family really enjoyed this, but I felt that the mayo overpowered the flavor. I did not use the onion as we were having this with French onion soup, and I felt that there would be too much onion in our meal. I will try making this again, but I will leave out the mayo.

I made this for my now-wife on one of our first dates, and it won her over. We’ve made this so many time since then, we don’t bother getting out the measuring cups and just eyeball everything. It may not be the healthiest recipe out there but boy, is it tasty!

The family LOVED this. We eliminated the onions. The garlic/butter mixture didn’t make enough to get all the way through the entire baguette. So we had more cheese mixture left over. That said, not one piece was left!

So delicious! Rich but amazing. Well done!

Great recipe for cheese bread to go with the lasagna dinner. Cut the ingredients in half and still have enough and leftovers with my family of four. Spectacular!

Everyone loved this garlic bread! By popular request from friends and family, I have made it over and over again. It is rich, good and fattening, but oh so yummy!

Really good, and simple. My boys thought it was “too cheesy” as if there is such a thing. But my husband & I and my friend thought it was delicious!

I skipped the onions part because the kids don’t like them so why waste a perfectly good onion. I jut did mayo cheese mixture with a bit of minced garlic. The kids loved it.

I made no changes to this except scaling it down for a trial. It is absolutely delicious and will definitely make it again!

I make it without the mayo and it still turns out great. You can use whatever cheese you prefer without much of a difference. I also sometimes use Italian bread without much variation in flavor.

It was very delicious.. Loved it with spaghetti…

This is a quick and delicious side. made it with spaghetti and had no left overs.

This is better than any store bought garlic bread. I love this with spaghetti and meat balls.
