Boston Baked Bean Dip

Making this delicious vodka sauce is easy. scrumptious served over any spaghetti! With lobster ravioli, I especially adore it.

Ingredients

  1. 5 slices bacon, chopped
  2. ½ cup chopped onion
  3. 1 (16 ounce) can navy beans, drained and rinsed
  4. ½ cup Boston lager beer, such as Samuel Adams®
  5. ½ cup ketchup
  6. ¼ cup packed brown sugar
  7. 1 (1.25 ounce) package McCormick® Tex-Mex Chili Seasoning Mix

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon and onion in large skillet on medium-high heat until bacon is crisp.
  2. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Serve dip with crackers and assorted toppings, such as cubed Cheddar cheese, sour cream and thinly sliced green onions.

Cocoa you can make it with dr pepper. I put that in my BBQ.

Can you substitute the beer for something else? I cannot see buying a whole beer for such a small amount used for this recipe. Thanks
