Everybody always loves this – I also add same amount of balsamic vinegar as olive oil to the marinade
Easy, tasty, and fresh!
Turned out wonderfully. Easy!!!
The perfect appetizer: fresh, colorful and delicious. I add several more herbs to the dressing, and marinate only the cheese balls. Tuck in whole folded basil leaves between the cheese and tomatoes and serve w balsamic glaze on the side for dipping.
I made it as suggested, except I used the mozzarella balls. Everyone loved them, none remained.
A hit at my office appetizer potluck. Was a favorite.
Super easy, pretty, and yummy any time of the year. Use mozzarella balls and tomatoes cut in half for easy handling. If you have a few stragglers, pop them in a salad or use as garnish.
Made this for a Christmas party and it didn’t last long! This will be a go to moving forward.
Easy and tasty
I halved the cherry tomatoes and the ,mozzarella balls, so that one bite could have both in it. I also drizzled with a balsamic glaze. This was a hit everyone liked it.
Pretty straight forward. Very tasty. I used fresh basil from my garden, it’s adds lovey colour. I find appy’s like this are portable and easy to eat. You don’t really want folks filling up on appetizers. Being a few things on a stick promotes guests to walk away from the table and mingle, hopefully not standing over the table and ruining their appetite. I usually have big plans for dealing with appetites, so I tend to use psychological means to avoid the “filled up and not hungry” folks. grin
It looked absolutely beautiful and was easy to eat. However, it did not have much flavor. I did add some balsamic vinegar but that didn’t help. It had marinated for 24 hours. Disappointed.
So good and super easy and quick to make. We have this as a salad with a meal or as an appetizer. I used fresh basil leaves and folded them between the mozzarella and tomato on each toothpick.
I loved it and so did about 6 others I actually just sent this recipe to one of them.
So simple and easy. I wish I read the reviews about halving the tomatoes and mozzarella balls before skewering. The oil covered tomatoes are slippery little suckers. I used garlic flavored extra virgin olive oil and drizzled balsamic glaze over the plate before serving.
Delicious with nice sweet tomatoes and I used Mozzarella “pearls” to save time. I could have used more basil than just the partial leaves that I cut up. I should have followed the picture and sprinkled some small pieces on top after adding the balsamic glaze.
Perfect appetizer, they look great on serving dish and taste so fresh.
It was ok according to the recipe. I added an aged balsamic to give it a little more flavor and pull it up to four stars.
I made these for a NYE party and I received so many compliments on these. I think I could bring these to any party and they would be a big hit. I had to limit how many my husband had before the party started, otherwise I wouldn’t have had any left :).
simple and delicious
Good but nothing too special.
