The soy sauce and garlic coating on these mushrooms is delicious. Serve over mashed potatoes or your choice of meat.

Yield: 11 cups

Ingredients

  1. 1 (2 pound) loaf processed cheese food (such as Velveeta®), cut into 8 pieces
  2. 2 (7 ounce) jars pimento peppers, drained and chopped
  3. ¼ cup tarragon vinegar
  4. ¼ cup mayonnaise
  5. ¼ cup unsalted butter
  6. ¼ cup white sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine cheese food, pimento peppers, tarragon vinegar, mayonnaise, butter, and sugar in a large saucepan or Dutch oven over low-heat; cook, stirring occasionally, until the cheese and butter are melted completely, about 20 minutes.
  2. Pour mixture into sealable containers and refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving.
  3. Creamy salad dressing (such as Miracle Whip(R)) works in place of the mayonnaise, if that’s your preference.

I really liked this and wouldn’t change a thing with it. It brought bag memories from childhood but was way better than the store bought I used to eat. Great recipe!
