Love it on a Ritz cracker with pickled jalapeños on top!
This is the MOST delicious dip I’ve ever made. It is Smokey and savory and my family and I can’t get enough!!! Thank you!
Incredible recipie
Delicious. I skipped the horseradish.
I have made this recipe for years. My wife and I catch our own trout, smoke it, then can it to dissolve the small bones and preserve the meat. We make this recipe as is and it is delicious! We have taken it to many social gatherings and it receives nothing but finger licking compliments. I have even had family members ask me to make this recipe for them Christmas gifts. It’s awesome!
Delicious! We make this with trout and salmon we catch and smoke ourselves and it is a terrific recipe.
Delicious! Made this past weekend while camping with fresh caught trout and it tasted great! Added a bit of paprika as well and a small bit of lemon to the trout itself though
Such a hit at a holiday party. Very easy to make and a real crowd pleaser.
After reading it was a bit think I went heavier on the sour cream, lemon juice and worcheshire sauce. I used hot sauce instead of cayenne. I beat all soft ingredients with a hand mixer before incorporating the trout and the onion. I was pleased with the consistency. I also used two green onions instead of one and garnished with chives. I think these changes improved on the recipe based on prior reviews. I will make it again, next time with smoked paprika instead of regular.
Loved it!
Too thick…maybe good as a spread..too much cream cheese I think..followed recipe completely…t
This fish dip delicious and so easy to make. Although I mixed all of the ingredients before I added the fish. This allowed for bigger pieces of fish.
Wow!!! Great recipe. So easy to make. The only change I made was having whipped cream cheese.
Very good smoked trout dip. It’s a bit of a process though if you plan to smoke your own trout. I imagine this would work well with smoked salmon as well. Thanks for sharing the recipe!
WOW I am not a good cook but I like bold flavors for myself and for guests. Even I can do this this and have guests asking for the recipe
I made this and it is great every one liked it really good on bagles with my coffee in the morning
This recipe can simply not be any better! Been trying to find a recipe as good as the local place in town, this surpasses it. Big hit!
Delicious! I made this yesterday so that it could sit overnight as the other reviewers suggested. It tasted fantastic even before I stuck it in the fridge. Thank you for posting this recipe!
I made this spread with fresh land locked salmon for a neighborhood Christmas party. Everyone loved it! I served it with crackers and celery.
Had some smoked blue fish and mullet.
This is a delicious recipe! Smoked trout has a more delicate flavor than smoked salmon so you don’t want to overpower it with a lot of seasonings. This one is perfect! It does need to sit overnight.
