Air Fryer Cajun Shrimp

I’ll be honest: I’m a Nutella addict! The expense was mounting, too, at $8 or $9 per week for a huge jar. So I created my own version. This is delicious and quite gooey.

Prep Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 6 mins
Total Time: 11 mins
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  1. 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  2. 2 tablespoons olive oil
  3. 2 cloves garlic, minced
  4. 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning blend (such as Tony Chachere’s®)
  5. ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  6. ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  7. ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  8. 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (Optional)
  9. 1 medium lemon, cut into wedges

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  2. Rinse shrimp under cold running water, dry with paper towels, and transfer to a large bowl. Add olive oil, garlic, Cajun seasoning, pepper, onion powder, and cayenne, and toss to completely coat. Place shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  3. Cook in the air fryer for 4 minutes. Flip the shrimp and cook until the shrimp are bright pink on the outside and the meat is opaque, about 2 more minutes. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may have to cook the shrimp in 2 batches.
  4. Remove shrimp from the air fryer and serve immediately garnished with parsley and lemon wedges.
  5. Air fryer temperatures vary by brand and size, and the size of your shrimp also will affect how much cooking time you need. You can use any size shrimp that you like, but I typically buy the 16- to 20-per-pound size when on sale, and keep in the freezer. The cook time in this recipe is based on that size.
  6. You can use lime wedges instead of lemon wedges as well.
