excellent around Halloween! To class parties, I usually bring these obscene snacks.

Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 15 mins
Total Time: 25 mins
Servings: 8
Yield: 8 garlic knots

Ingredients

  1. 1 ½ cups self-rising flour, plus more for kneading
  2. 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  3. ½ cup butter, melted
  4. 2 cloves garlic, minced
  5. ½ teaspoon chopped fresh parsley, plus more for garnish
  6. ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Mix flour and Greek yogurt together in a medium bowl until a shaggy dough forms. Transfer to a surface dusted with more self-rising flour, and knead for 8 to 10 minutes. Continue adding flour as needed if the dough is too sticky.
  2. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Combine melted butter, garlic, parsley, and salt in a small bowl.
  4. Cut the dough into 8 pieces, roughly 2 ounces each. Roll each segment into an even 12-inch log. Shape the logs into knots by forming a cross, wrapping the top piece around the bottom piece, then connecting the two ends. Press together tightly to seal.
  5. Move the knots to the prepared baking sheet and brush with garlic butter.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven until lightly browned, 15 to 20 minutes. Brush with remaining garlic butter, garnish with more parsley, and serve warm.

This recipe is amazing!! Quite honestly, I was looking for a quick bread option for a spaghetti dinner because I’d forgotten to plan ahead, and wasn’t expecting too much since this wasn’t a yeast dough. I thought they would be biscuit like which wasn’t my preference with spaghetti, but you can’t be picky when you’ve failed to plan . I made them and they looked beautiful, my husband (who made a 24 hour French baguette for our last spaghetti night—he knows bread) took one and declared it the best garlic knot he’d ever had! He couldn’t believe it when I told him the ingredients! They taste like real bread with buttery, garlicky goodness! I was careful not to knead too much (5-7 minutes of kneading) and not to add too much extra flour so they wouldn’t be too stiff. I sprinkled Parmesan on top as suggested—absolutely delicious!! Thank you! (My photo only shows 7 because my husband already ate one ).

LOVE this 2 ingredient base recipe!!! I was soo skeptical! This recipe is a game changer if you have unexpected visitors or just want to whip up something as a side for dinner! I just basted with homemade garlic butter and threw some “Everything” seasoning on top before baking. Bagels turned out amazing aswell, although I wasn’t fast enough to get a photo of those.. this was all that was left. I’ve saved this recipe as a favorite and will definitely be used much more in the future! I’m going to recommend this to all my friends & family. Thank you!!!
