Prosciutto-Wrapped Breadsticks

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  2. 1/4 teaspoon cayenne
  3. 12 Italian breadsticks (grissini)
  4. 12 thin slices prosciutto

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Line a baking sheet or cookie sheet with parchment.
  2. Mix the Parmesan and cayenne together until well combined.
  3. Wrap each breadstick with a slice of prosciutto, then sprinkle with the Parmesan mixture.
  4. Place the breadsticks on the prepared baking sheet and transfer to the oven. Bake for 5 minutes. Cool slightly and serve immediately.

I expected more from this- it turned out meh because the proscuitto made the breadsticks soggy. I tried letting it cool a while, but they never got crunchy again. Maybe I used too much proscuitto, but I didn’t use that much, maybe it needed convection, higher heat? Honestly I liked the unbaked ones a lot because they were crispy. LOL
