Ingredients
- 3 cups milk
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons rum
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 7 (1/2-inch) slices brioche bread, cubed or torn
- 4 eggs, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large saucepan, add milk, butter, vanilla, cinnamon, brown sugar, rum and raisins and heat until warm. Simmer and stir until sugar dissolves.
- Into a large bowl add the cubed bread and pour in the hot milk mixture. Let sit for 30 minutes so the bread absorbs the milk.

This was really delicious. And very easy to make. My husband loved it.
Love love love this recipe. Very easy and a good starter recipe, made it with no rum, delicious.
I love bread pudding. I soaked the raisins in 1/2 of spiced rum for 3 to 4 days .
This is my go to when I have left over homemade bread from the week!
My children just devour this I use rum extract instead and it is still great!

In my Tabitha Brown voice..VERY GOOD. I made this recipe it was so good I made it a second time as I am typing this my raisin bread pudding is in the oven. I didn’t add rum to mine however I love it! Thanks for the recipe.
Great as is, better with egg whites beaten separately and folded in.
I love this recipe! When I wanna whipp up a nice “PUDDING “(her nickname) I go to this recipe, she loves it sweet, so I add extra sugar and spice. BUT I DO ADD PUDDING! not my wife, but real pudding.
This is my go-to recipe for one of my dearest friends! He loves cinnamon and loves raisins! I put a little extra of both for him! Yummy yum yum!!!
I wish the recipe itself was more specific about amounts and directions (especially of the amount of bread required), but I followed it as best I could and the result turned out yummy!
