I first started using this rub 2 years ago and the ribs have been a hit with both family and friends ever since! Nice heat and great when using the 3-2-1 method on the BBQ.
Great a baby back rib rub recipe! I’ve found making it well beforehand and keeping it in a Mason Jar allows the spices to mingle a bit. Not sure that actually happens, but I’d like to think so. I’ve tried swapping the Paprika with Smoked Paprika and liked it very much. Truthfully, either way works great. just depends on what profiles you like. I do add a bit more brown sugar because I find it comes out a bit more on the grill. I do use a charcoal grill and not gas. Can’t leave it alone and find I need to move it around a bit. Also, let the rub rest on the meat a little while. I think it works into the meat more. I’ve thrown it on and put it directly in the oven and saw much of it slough off when it cooks.
What temperature do you recommend cooking a rack of ribs at? I was going to cook at 200 for 2 hours and then finish off on the bbq. What are your thoughts. Thank you
I found the cumin and chili overpowered the other spices. I used the mustard and a lot of rub, perhaps too much rub? I was disappointed.
I tried this rub and it was AMAZING
Not for ribs , ruined my ribs . Tasted terrible
Great rub! I did add a little more sugar. Love this rub
