Delicious! People, WHY do you change everything from the recipe and then complain it was too expensive or not good tasting? Beyond me! This was really good and hey, if you don’t want to use cheap champaigne, ‘bigeorge’ ~ good! Andre’s is fine, gives you the bubbly and can’t taste the difference between that and Domain Chandon bubbly. Live a little and enjoy.
I thought it was good and yes a bit on the expensive side, but hey its a luxury. My God live alittle .Thanks
Vinnie, from Livingston, NJ, I couldn’t agree with you more !!
I dont know why the FN allows this kind of review. I look at reviews to better a recipe or see if it is worth my time, but Sandra seems to attract the envious and jealous types who dont bother making a recipe but trying to knock her down. If you dont like her show, please, by all means, DONT WATCH, but stop with these ridiculous reviews.
It is too expensive to make very often. I will not use cheap champagne.
On the TV show, Chef Lee said to use canned pears as the garnish. This recipe online looks like it is using fresh pears. If I use fresh pears, is it still semi homemade?
Yummy! Refreshing. I left out the brandy and it still tasted great!
this had roo much happening with the brandy
I used cognac instead of pear brandy, but the drink was so refreshing on a warm day.
I didn’t have any pear nectar or brandy or canned pears, so I left those out. But it was still sooooooooo good! Will make again!
