I can’t have dairy so I made it with dairy free cream cheese (Viola Life). It is superb. The horseradish was fresh from the garden.

THIS IS THE REAL DEAL FOLKS!!!!

A stunningly simple sauce that I make every time we have prime rib. I’ve turned on a lot of people to this sauce, and everyone loves it!

On a personal note, this will always remind me of my mother. Her and I saw the episode, and a few weeks later, we looked it up online, and with my laptop, I would have my 83 year old mother read me off the ingredients as I made the sauce…and then we watched the video of the show together to make sure we did everything correctly. My wife had a good laugh that we double checked our work.

I am a fantastic cook because of my mother, and whenever I could, since I was a child, I cooked with her and got as many family recipes as I could get from her as she got older, and wrote them all down. Some of the fondest memories of being with my mother are that of us cooking together.

I will always think of my dear mother when I make this, as it was also the last time we cooked together. I love & miss you Mom.

We used this along side of our prime rib, but what i did was make 2 batches, one was mild and the other I doubled the horsehadish… turned out nice and spicy!!!

I made this to go along with our rib roast at Christmas and it was the perfect sauce for the meal. Not too strong and the chives and mustard were perfect in it. It also makes a wonderful spread on the sandwiches that we are having with the leftovers. I will add this to my recipe box for future use.
